Re: Olympus recorders

2006-01-20 Thread Tim Grady
Are you sure you need the software. Some of those recorders can
create Windows Media files. Mine, which is the WS200ST or something
like that didn't even come with a CD I think because it is recognized
as a drive and can create wma files.

Re: Olympus recorders

2006-01-20 Thread Kiran Kaja
Hello Tim,

After reading the manual downloaded from the Olympus website, I realized
that it can record to WMA. Although this is only done when the recording
quality is set to HQ, I guess it will serve my purpose for the time being. A
15 minute recording takes up 3.5 mb which is quite reasonable for the sound
quality it offers.

For anyone interested, WavePad can open DSS files and let's you save them to
wave or mp3 or a number of other formats. I believe the site to download it
is www.wavepad.com. The basic version is free but add supported. I suppose
there is a pro version without the adds.

Re: nero question re burning mp3 compilation

2006-01-20 Thread Robert Stokes
Hi Alan,

When you start Nero Burning Rom, the multisession choice you last used will
be the one selected. It is not possible to choose all of them, as they are
not checked but are radio buttons and can be selected with the up and down
arrow keys. When you select one, the previous one is deselected. To continue
with a multisession disc, just arrow to that choice and then press Enter.
You will then move on to the window where you choose the files you wish to
add to the disc.

Good luck.

Robert.

Hi Kevin
You have to choose DVD in the first screen when Nero comes up. It's a combo
box, just tab around. You probably have it set to CD right now.

not for nhl.com you don't. i wish in some ways they'd look at that. nfl.com
and mlb.com both became a million times better once the paid subscriptions
were introduced. nhl.com is light years behind those too so far as online
listening goes now.

Re: AUstralian open.

2006-01-20 Thread Stephen Jolley
Three official online sites that I know of where we blind people can access
an audio alternative to television.
1.ABC radio at abc.net.au/tennis from 6:30 pm most nights.
2.BBC Sportsextra at bbc.co.uk/sportsextra from 7:30 pm.
3.The official Australian Open site at
www.ausopen.org
from 10:45 am for
the whole day. Click on the 'AO Radio' link to find the stream.

These are Melbourne times which are 11 hours in front of GMT.

2006-01-20 Thread Brent Harding
Even if one had a demo, wouldn't you need an illegal crack to actually get a
serial number? The burner I had in my old system didn't have support in Easy
CD Creater version 3 or 4 whatever came with the slow HP CD Writer 8200 USB
that I am certain is not made any more. I don't think there is any demo to
find out for the new Roxio.

Try
www.nero.com
The current version is 7.xx and you shouldn't get that, but 6.xx is available.
