Re: [OpenWrt-Devel] [PATCH]ramips: Add Ralink RT3XXX USB OHCI driver

2014-07-31 Thread 郭传鈜
Ah……sorry……I've done everything for my router with mt7620a so no kconfig is
added for other SoCs.And I think I've changed too many things in
0216-NET-ralink-add-mt7621-SDK-ethernet-driver.patch .

Shall I make another cleaner patch and resend it?

Hi,

no, we wont take this patch. i will instead figure out what is wrong
with the existing code and fix it.

I understand you may have many different prototypes but if you're
adding support for a specific router/board you should add a PHY which
is used there, not any possible one which may be used. IMO

Hi Roman,

i think we should move the ethernet driver to a ko and then have the
phys load before the driver

[OpenWrt-Devel] Barrier Breaker 14.07 oldpackages: packages are being accidentally removed?

2014-07-31 Thread Hannu Nyman
I noticed today that the current repository structure leads to loss of
packages in the BB14.07 branch when packages are deleted from oldpackages
after being imported to github.

sox, lame, libgsm, libfile, libao have been deleted today (r41902-41906) and
are not available in BB14.07 any more. This is probably unintended.

This happens because there is no 14.07 release branch for oldpackages, yet.
Instead the 'oldpackages' feed still points to the head of the old packages
repository, the same that is used for CC trunk (although not enabled by
default).

On the github side the newly imported packages are inserted into master
branch, but not any more into the "for-14.07" release branch. When the
exported packages are then deleted from oldpackages, they disappear
completely from BB14.07, as the oldpackages feed follows the repository head.

There should probably be a 14.07 release branch for oldpackages and BB's
feeds.conf.default should point to it. The oldpackages 14.07 release branch
should probably be based on svn r41901 (removal of ffmpeg), as only the five
packages removed after it have been imported to github after the branching
for 14.07 packages.

Re: [OpenWrt-Devel] Barrier Breaker 14.07 oldpackages: packages are being accidentally removed?

2014-07-31 Thread John Crispin
my fault, due to a typo in the build script i did not build the
old.packages feed for rc2 against the correct git commit.

this will be fixed with rc3/final

Re: [OpenWrt-Devel] [PATCH 00/23] add 3.14 kernel support for ar71xx

2014-07-31 Thread Zhao, Gang
D-Link DIR-615-e1 passed some basic tests(dhcp, wireless, failsafe mode,
etc), no big problem was found. But tp-link wr703n still has a problem.

Actually on tp-link wr703n only eth0 doesn't work correctly, wlan0 works
fine.

The problem of eth0 is: if cable has been plugged when booting, eth0
will not do the link change correctly, it says no carrier even the cable
has been plugged. Actually after booting manually plug and unplug the
cable won't trigger link change code like ag71xx_link_adjust() to
execute, so it always says no carrier.

If cable is not plugged when booting, then after booting manually plug
and unplug the cable eth0 works well. It will change the link state
correctly.

I'm not sure if the problem is because the wr703n has been hacked:
serial port is wired to unused mini-usb lines. It will be helpful if
someone can test these patches on an unmodified wr703n, and on other
ar71xx hardwares.

Calling for testers :-)
