A bit like a LM really, only for a profile

This sounds suspiciously like calling cards. Maybe we should allow to create
them by
 other ways than only by
giving your own to someone?

Speaking of Landmarks, I'd like a way to
 convert SLURLs to Landmarks
without visiting the target/destination place.

It won't work as-in in 1.23 since they do have yourself as the creator, but
in 2.0 any calling card whose item description is an avie key will act as if
it was that resident's calling card (actually it seems to boil down to
LLInventoryModel::updateItem replacing the creator ID with the UUID in the
item description's so as far as the rest of the viewer is concerned it is an
"authentic" calling card and makes all the UI handling code work the same as
if you got the calling card from the avie instead of just creating it
yourself).

So adding a "Create Calling Card" option to a profile would really just
involve a call to create_inventory_item with the resident name as the item
name and the resident UUID as the description and done :).

(I'd guess they needed to do it that way since some people actively delete
calling cards and since Friends / All doesn't show you your actual friends
list but rather whatever is in the Calling Cards / Friends / All inventory
folder they likely needed some way to have the viewer be able to create
calling cards for arbitrary people)

Re: [opensource-dev] Snowglobe 2.0^H^H^H1.3 way forward?

I think this "no" refers to the ".0" iteration. If 2.x stays around for as
long as 1.x, mesh might end up in some 2.x (but obviously not 2.0).
