2021-06-21 Thread Ernst Reissner
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=438979

Bug ID: 438979
Summary: latexl backward search with vscode
   Product: okular
   Version: 20.12.2
  Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org
  Reporter: ernst.reiss...@corpuls.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.
configure okular:
Settings-->Cofigure Okular -->Editor
Choose 'custom test editor' and type as command: 'code --goto %f:%l'
2. compile a latex source with synctex.
3. ensure the browse tool is enabled, click shift move to the proper place and
press left mouse button...

OBSERVED RESULT
nothing happens.
Note that if on bash shell i just tpe in 'code --goto %f:%l'
with proper replacement of %f and $l, then the editor behaves as expected.
So maybe the problem is okular.

EXPECTED RESULT
the editor shall move the cursor to the according place.

Is it blurry on both monitors? Is it blurry if you set scaling to 100%?

I didn’t mean that the problem is on your side or with your stylus. I consider
this a bug of Okular. The tablet events in Qt are intended for higher
precision, so we should be able to process this higher precision.

No need to worry about making noise. Discussing a bug report is fine. :)

Ah, relevant Hhiint: It is blurred at 2 monitors but not on the thrid which is
the laptop. Blurring disappears if zoom is set to 100%

This is what I expected. Per-screen-scaling hasn't seen much love until
recently, because on Linux you won't get it anyway unless you use wayland.

That being said, there have been a few patches recently. Can you try the 21.04
release, please, and report back?
