Spurious "Couldn't resolve hostname"
Anyone else getting this? I've had it from one or two addresses, for example: http://www.natwest.com/global/customer-charter/g1/ideas-bank.ashx gives me the error "Couldn't resolve hostname" yet the host name appears to be OK. What's more if I delete the last element NetSurf does resolve the host name and gives me an expected 404 error. -- Richard Porter http://www.minijem.plus.com/ t: @westernexplorer mailto:r...@minijem.plus.com I don't want a "user experience" - I just want stuff that works.

However, I have just tried to visit that particular URL, and, got errors, and, changes/redirections, as I progressively went up levels, to the base URL. It could be either a shonky web site (I am well aware of what the URL belongs to, but, that does not mean that they are capable of, or, willing to, present a decent web site), or, it can be an issue with the "https:", which causes different problems with different browsers, or, both. -- Bret Busby Armadale West Australia .. That's useful. I'll have a whinge at NatWest.
