Seems ok here on 5.19 Iyonix and dev#966.

Same with me. John. Using version 5.18 with 3.0 (Dev# 973) Netsurf
crashes

It's ok here if I go straight to the site. If I then go to Google and
try and navigate back to that site (with direct URL input) the whole
thing freezes up. That's on the Amiga version.

I've been seeing crashes in dom_hubbub_parser_destroy recently (and
not systematically reproducably) that may be related.

I'm getting:
assertion "(box->width != UNKNOWN_WIDTH) && (box->height != AUTO)" failed: file
"render/layout.c", line 5026

Looks like these aren't related, so I'll have to keep looking for that
one.

Imae problems with Netsurt

2013-03-17 Thread David H Wild
Recent builds of Netsurf have gone backwards on images,

Try http://www.flickr.com/photos/barkingbill/

The initial page displays correctly but, when you click on one of the
thumbnails you find that the little strip of images is missing with just
the black square showing which is the selected picture appearing. That's
with Javascript turned off. setting Javascript on means that the main
picture doesn't appear either.

Choices behaviour

2013-03-17 Thread Chris Newman
Hi,

I thought Netsurf kept its choices within !Boot. & indeed here I have..

IDEFS::h-4.$.!Boot.Choices.Users.Single.WWW.NetSurf.Choices

However, if from the iconbar I set - Content - Disable Java script unticked,
every time I reload netsurfm the tick is back. I don't think this happened
previously. Has something changed? Have I missed somthing?

Are you sure that you're not using a "jsoff" build? IIRC that forces the
config option to be set regardless of what is in the Choices file.

I can't reproduce this here (Iyonix 5.19) NS #971 works - and just
updated to #975 also preserves choices.

Could well be. You've just triggered my brain in to action (a grim task).

Looking at !Fetch_NS which I use, the default is to download the JSOFF
version. I need to change the settings File. I'll explore that. Many thanks.

In reply to my reply..

The file I needed to alter was.

!Fetch_NS.Resources.Defaults

I've done that now but can't test it until the next version of Netsurf is
available.

Thanks for your help.

Only if you deleted the file .Fetch_NS.Settings.

The Defaults file is only used (and copied as Settings to Fetch_NS's
Choices directory) if a Settings file does not exist there already.

Thanks. I think I've found the right one now. I have Adjust 4.39 so the
settings file seemed to be here...

IDEFS::h-4.$.!Boot.Choices.Users.Single.Fetch_NS.Settings

I've changed that as well so fingers crossed.
Unfortunately, the Fetch_NS help file didn't specify too clearly where I
should look.
