Might it be default fonts used and font sizes?

After a couple of posting by folks using older versions with success, I
thought I'd try again...

Unfortunately the same as earlier.
The 'Site Authentication window' displays, I fill in the correct Username
and password (Exactly the same as I used successfully with PC Firefox
after the earlier NS failures), after a pause the 'Site Authentication
Window' returns with the writables empty.
The same will happen, again, again, again...

Netsurf r5531 (10 Oct 2008)  SARPC RO 6.10

I have tried with a couple of earlier versions, but still no go.

I then wondered if it was something specific to my machine, so I tried
with Oregano1.
This successfully went through the login process.

So I have no idea.
