New HTML parser integrated into NetSurf
Dear Mr.Bell, you say that Hubbub is still under active development and has not had an official release, but the previous page on the website says that Netsurf now uses Hubbub as of 11th August 2008. Should this say the Netsurf that developers are working on now uses Hubbub, or was the parser released? Currest development builds of NetSurf use a development build of Hubbub in order to test it. B.

Should this say the Netsurf that developers are working on now uses Hubbub, or was the parser released? Hubbub as a standalone component for use by other developers in their applications has not been released as it is currently missing some amount of functionality and does not yet have a totally stable API. There are other factors, too, but these are the main ones. Test builds of NetSurf have indeed been using Hubbub since the 11th August. That's because we: a) don't desperately need the features that Hubbub is currently missing (though they'll be useful once they appear) b) are quite happy to fix NetSurf every time Hubbub's API changes There is no release version of NetSurf that includes Hubbub. NetSurf 2.0, when it is released, will include Hubbub. John.
Wiki editing
I have had occasion to edit wikis using NetSurf and also to fill in text boxes provided on websites for messages. Unless I have missed something, some of the RISC OS UI conventions cease to apply within such editable boxes making them more difficult to edit than expected. So I have put a new item on the SourceForge Feature Requests tracker as detailed below. Is there support for such improvement? -- Bernard http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=2130120&group_id=51719&atid=464315 QUOTE Category: RISC OS UI Wiki editing support In a typical wiki editing window (and in any input area such as this one), highlighting text can only be done by select-drag and is only useful for exporting the text. To assist editing content (and especially for deleting text) we need also: * Select...Adjust to highlight text, and double-click select to highlight a word. * Ctrl-X, ctrl-C, ctrl-V, Delete (for more than one character) and Insert to be supported within the edit window.
