[mono-android] Problem: "Emulator not started"
Hello, I just downloaded the trial version. Stuck with HelloWorld because the emulator is not recognized by MonoDroid (MD). MD insits that it is not started despite the fact that the emulator is running. I created several different new emulators in AVD manager. I also tried to run MD with admin rights. But nothing helps, it always says "Emulator not started". Do I need an activation code for evalutation? I can't find a link on the homepage. Any suggestions? Yes i can see the device in adb. I tried this before, did not work. When I checked the things today again I noticed that the daemon port and the number in the emulator window are not the same. Hi, Sorry was a little bit busy... I am still facing the problem. I tried different things: * start / kill adb server as told * restart ide as told Problem still persists. Then I tried to use Buildroid with a VirtualBox but Mono Android does not accept this as an emulator (sadly, it is way faster then the official emulator) The first one is the normal emulator, second is virtualbox/buildroid, last one ist my smartphone. But this raises a new question, all three are listed as "device" shouldn't be at least the first one be marked as "emulator". How does Mono Android decide wheather a device is an emulator or hardware? Hello, it works and not. ;) 1.) It works when I use "Execute with " 2.) But debugger is still not working I also found out that my firewall put the whole Android SDK to sandbox. That means it was partially limited. But it had no effect on the debugger problem. For now I can live with this situation. Hey, I use a trial version. If you feel that the debugger problem should be solved in anyway I will help you.
