Registering for PAUSE

2002-02-09 Thread Dave Steiner

Hi,
   I'd like to register for PAUSE/CPAN. Here's my info:

Name: Dave Steiner

Namespace Registration: Krb5::

2002-03-12 Thread Dave Steiner

While I'm waiting for my CPAN user ID, I'd like to register a new namespace
for Kerberos5, namely Krb5::. I'm working on some new modules for parsing
the Kerberos database called Krb5::KDB (this loads various other modules like
Krb5::KDB::V2, Krb5::KDB::V3, Krb5::KDB::V4 or Krb5::KDB::V5).

Krb5::KDB  adpO  Parse the Kerberos5 database   ???

BTW, it's been about a month now since I sent off my request for a
CPAN user ID. How long is that taking these days?

thanks,
ds

Namespace Registration: Authen::Krb5::KDB, Authen::Krb5::KDB_H

2002-03-18 Thread Dave Steiner

I sent a message about these modules about a week ago. After
discussion on comp.lang.perl.modules, I believe the namespace should
change to be consistant with the other Kerberos modules already in
CPAN.  Namely:

Authen::Krb5::KDB adpO Parse Kerberos5 database filesDKS
  loads one of:
Authen::Krb5::KDB::V5 adpO Parse Kerberos5 V5 database files DKS
Authen::Krb5::KDB::V4 adpO Parse Kerberos5 V4 database files DKS
Authen::Krb5::KDB::V3 adpO Parse Kerberos5 V3 database files DKS
Authen::Krb5::KDB::V2 adpO Parse Kerberos5 V2 database files DKS

Authen::Krb5::KDB_H adpf Kerberos5 Database constants DKS

Re: Module submission Authen::Krb5::KDB

2002-04-11 Thread Dave Steiner

Yes, I've talked with the author of Authen::Krb5 about using this
namespace and he sees no problems with it. I only have two modules at
that level:

Authen::Krb5::KDB
Authen::Krb5::KDB_H

and all other "internal" modules, e.g. implementing different database
versions or different parts of a database entry, are in

Authen::Krb5::KDB::

So I don't think we'll have any problems sharing the namespace.
