I can't find the cc to modules@ for that email.

Unsure why you think WINKO is female, Winfried is IME usually a male name,
and a random sample of "Mithaldu, because he's german and was online" also
considered it to be male.

Also released a different module in 2003.

I can't find anything on the internet bar a 2000 paper about automotive
systems and some subsequent patents, and I have no way of telling if it's
the same person.

Right. My opinion is (a) that there's no reason not to give you co-maint
(b) since I've just done the basic due diligence that should've been in
the original email, I'm not comfortable being the person doing so.

Can somebody else please click the button to give NEILB co-maint?

Hi All

Someone beat me to it.

Hi Neil

I always copy these types of emails to the list. I strongly recommend
you do to.

This does not include trying to read the original author, but when it
comes time to contact the list, you should IMHO include relevant
extracts of emails to said author.

As for Winifred, I know a woman of that name, so I would also have
assumed Winfried was female, although a name like Siegfried (sp?) -
which I believe is male - would make me unsure.

Re: Failed: PAUSE indexer report ELOHMROW/Convert-Pluggable-0.014.tgz

2014-03-23 Thread David Golden
Hi, Bradley.

You've run afoul of some very recent changes to tighten security of
PAUSE. Specifically, you need to "own" the namespace
"Convert::Pluggable" to be able to upload a distribution starting with
"Convert-Pluggable-*". However, PAUSE should be able to see that you
are the first person to upload "Convert/Pluggable.pm" with the package
"Convert::Pluggable" and assign permissions to you on the fly. So I
suspect there might be a bug in the recent change to PAUSE and I've
copied the relevant people.

That said, the Convert-Pluggable-0.014.tgz you uploaded looks very
odd. The directory inside is not "Convert-Pluggable-0.014" and it
contains a "blib" directory, a "Makefile" and "MYMETA.*" files. It
looks like you just tarred your development directory and that's
wrong. You should run "make dist" and the makefile will create a
proper tarball for you and that's what you should upload. I don't
think that's the problem, but I mention it both to help you do it
better next time and to help those who can look into the bug to rule
it in or out as a cause.

So... please be patient and let us try to resolve the bug. You can
follow along on a ticket I opened here:
https://github.com/andk/pause/issues/108

Apologies for the problems but thank you for being persistent in
asking for help.

David Golden

Re: Indexing Problem for Scripts on CPAN Site ..

Hi Graham,

Some of the indexing infrastructure only activates when you upload via
PAUSE at Upload a file to
CPAN.
Did you upload the versions that did *not* index via FTP? If so, the
solution is to upload a newer version via the web interface.
