Submit a new request for the right now.

In the old namespace, you can go to it's metadata page. At the bottom,
there's a "Lifecycle" field which you can set to "Can be deleted".

It's usually the person wanting the permissions that gives us the news
:)

I've made SANKO a co-maintainer of the Readonly::* namespaces.

Module submission Bio::Taxonomy::GlobalNames

2013-11-22 Thread Perl Authors Upload Server

The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:   Bio::Taxonomy::GlobalNames
  DSLIP:   RdpOp
  description: Perl bindings to Global Names Resolver
  userid: DGKONTOP (Dimitrios - Georgios Kontopoulos)
  chapterid:   23 (Miscellaneous_Modules)
  communities:
http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.module-authors/2013/11/msg10181.html

  similar:

  rationale:

This module is the only one available that provides a Perlish
interface to the Global Names Resolver. This web service is a very
useful tool for Bioscientists, as it can be used for scientific name
validation, according to a variety of sources (88 of them
currently). Essentially, using this module, a bioinformatician can
automate a taxonomy resolving process, according to the data sources
and options of their choice.

The name of the module was decided based on feedback received from
the Module Authors mailing list.

  enteredby: DGKONTOP (Dimitrios - Georgios Kontopoulos)
  enteredon:   Sat Nov 23 01:32:42 2013 UTC

The resulting entry would be:

Bio::Taxonomy::
::GlobalNames RdpOp Perl bindings to Global Names Resolver DGKONTOP
