PAUSE ID request (WTOOROP; Willem Toorop)

2011-01-07 Thread Perl Authors Upload Server
Request to register new user

fullname: Willem Toorop
  userid: WTOOROP
mail: CENSORED
homepage:
 why:

I have requested and received the ID WILLEM before, but it seems
polluted:

- When I respond to a message in rt.cpan.org, the maintainer
receives a message stating that I am Willem van der Schyff, which I
am not!

- On the front page of rt.cpan.org, the e-mail address
wil...@plutointernet.com is shown at the requestors input box, which
is not my e-mail adres.

- I can't let wil...@cpan.org forward to wil...@nlnetlabs.nl. The
setting just get resetted to neither or nor after I change that.

Apparently WILLEM used to belong to someone else, and some things
related to that person are still somehow connected with the WILLEM
pause ID. It might be easiest to just use a fresh new account.
Therefor I submit this request for WTOOROP.

Thanks! Willem

Request Co-Maintainership for Net::SMTP::TLS

2011-01-07 Thread Fayland Lam
Hi Alexander.

first of all, many thanks for the Net::SMTP::TLS module. I use it
heavily with Email::Sender::Transport::SMTP::TLS to send email through
Gmail.

but it seems buggy right now
(https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Dist/Display.html?Name=Net-SMTP-TLS), and
I wonder if I can help to apply those patches in case you don't have
time to maintain it.

please bear with my stupid Net::SMTP::TLS::ButMaintained, I hope I can
abandon it asap.

hope to hear from you soon. my PAUSE id is FAYLAND

Thanks

Re: PAUSE ID request (WTOOROP; Willem Toorop)

2011-01-07 Thread David Golden
Dear Willem.

I'm sorry you're experiencing these difficulties. I have reset your
WILLEM PAUSE account to send email to your secret address and list
your wil...@cpan.org address as the public one.

Your name is correct in the 01mailrc.txt file on CPAN. (The email
address may not be updated there as it takes time to propagate across
the Perl ecosystem)

An incorrect name/email listing at rt.bugs.org is not sufficient
grounds for a new ID. It's possible that the lack of a published
email address caused problems. Please see if it clears up in a day or
so now that your listed email address is valid. If not, please open a
bug ticket with the managers of RT by emailing
rt-cpan-ad...@bestpractical.com.

Thank you.

David
