Hi,

  Name: Björn Höhrmann
E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
  Homepage: http://bjoern.hoehrmann.de/
   CPAN-ID: BJOERN

I'm planning to contribute HTML::Parser::Tidy, an XS interface to the
famous HTML parser and cleanup utility originally developed by Dave
Ragget / W3C and now maintained by a couple of developers including
myself at sourceforge, see http://tidy.sourceforge.net/

best regards,

Hope I'm not being stupid ...

2001-07-12 Thread T. Alex Beamish

Hi there,

There are a couple of instances of

  "DSLIP Description"

on the page

  http://www.cpan.org/modules/00modlist.long.html

This looks like some escaped HTML code that should have been unescaped.

Also, when I tried to access links going to either the module or the
authour I got a 'page not found' error. Don't know if that's because
it's 0544 where I am, that server is currently down, or my DSL
connection has gone bonkers on me.

Anyway, I found doco for Parse::RecDescent without much trouble so I'm
not stuck, but thought I'd pass this along.

Module submission Lingua::ZH::HanConvert

2001-07-12 Thread Perl Authors Upload Server

The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid:   Lingua::ZH::HanConvert
  DSLIP: adpfp
description: Convert traditional <-> simplified Chinese
  userid: DIVEC (David Chan)
  chapterid: 11 (String_Lang_Text_Proc)
  communities:
comp.lang.perl.modules

  similar:

  rationale:

Converts between traditional Chinese characters and simplified
Chinese characters. This is *not* a straight character-set
conversion like Windows-1252 <-> ISO-8859-1; it is a substitution of
one Unicode CJK Unified Ideograph for another one which has the same
meaning. "HanConvert" because it converts between unified Han
ideographs.

Module submission ACE4

2001-07-12 Thread Perl Authors Upload Server

The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:

  modid: ACE4
  DSLIP: Rdpfp
description: Interface to SecureID ACE/Server version 4
  userid: MIKEM (Mike McCauley)
  chapterid: 14 (Security_and_Encryption)
  communities:

  rationale:

ACE/Server API has changed significantly, and the functions
supported by Authen::ACE are now called 'legacy' and some are not
supported any more. According to SecurID, new applicaitons should
not use the legacy functions, which are incompatible with the
version 4 API.

Authen::ACE4 supports the new (version 4) API, and also builds on
Windows as well as Unix.
