Modul owner change for Expect.pm requested

2000-09-25 Thread Roland Giersig

Hi folks,

I just took over maintainance of the Expect module from
Austin Schutz (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED], PAUSE ID: AUSCHUTZ)
and would like to ask you to transfer the ownership of Expect
to me (PAUSE ID: RGIERSIG) and change the entry in the
modlist-long accordingly.  I have already gotten Austin's
approval for this, he is currently not able to do any work
on it.

Thanks!

Roland

Request for CPAN ID

2000-09-25 Thread Jon Eveland

Hello -

I'd like to request a CPAN ID, information as follows:

Name: Jonathan W. Eveland
E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Preferred CPAN ID: JWEVELAND

Areas of current interest/development include modules
supporting various aspects of HL7 and X12 data
formats.

Also, I am soliciting input as to where in the module
hierarchy would be a good place to put such modules.
They are ANSI standard formats, so should they list
under ANSI::HL7:: and ANSI::X12::, or would there be
someplace more appropriate?

Thanks!!
Jon Eveland

The DBI::* namespace is reserved. There's a thriving DBIx::* namespace
specifically for closely related extensions.

New module request

2000-09-25 Thread Arthur Corliss

Greetings:

Name DSLI  DescriptionInfo
---    -- ---
Curses::Application cmpO OO framework for console applications CORLISS

Or, more indepth:

OO framework for console applications, including management features for
collections of forms, widgets, and so on. Designed to work with Curses::Forms
and Curses::Widgets.

Essentially, not only will this remove any need for make Curses calls
directly, but will provide a framework for managing (and automating) the
objects created with Curses::Forms and Curses::Widgets (the latter has an OO
implementation currently in development). This will include the capability of
dynamically loading forms from form resource files (XML format) as necessary,
instead of having to have the entire application in memory at program launch.

A mailing list has already been started for Curses::Widgets and Curses::Forms
development. If this module is approved, that same list would encompass
Curses::Application.

Register as new CPAN author

2000-09-25 Thread Martin Pauley

Hello

I would like to register as a CPAN author, twice if possible.

I would like two different registrations because there are two different
copyright holders involved: Kasei is me personally; BlackStar is the UK's
largest video store and I am their Technical Guru. We only sell on the Net, and
our entire system from web to warehouse is written in Perl. If I leave,
BlackStar will want to continue releasing their code to CPAN. BlackStar, along
with O'Reilly, were the main sponsors of the first YAPC::Europe where we
discussed releasing our code.

All of the modules below were discussed briefly at YAPC::Europe, mostly in the
pub or the pizza shop :-)

Here is the information you need:

Name:   Marty Pauley
Email:  [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Preferred user id:  KASEI
Description:

Name  DSLI Description  Info

Authen::
::Subuser bdpO Auth virtual users belonging to real users
Filter::
::TrigraphRdpf ISO 646 perl scripts using ANSI C trigraphs

Name:   Marty Pauley
Email:  [EMAIL PROTECTED]
URL:http://www.blackstar.co.uk/
Preferred user id:  BLACKSTAR
Description:

Name  DSLI Description  Info

[ These modules will be 'alpha' until we reach a decision on namespace. ]
BlackStar::
::Session adpO Online customer session management
::Cacheable adpO Base class to enable caching in mod_perl
::Timer adpO Log time to generate web pages in mod_perl

Thanks for your time.
