new module

2000-08-01 Thread eric

I uploaded a new module Crypt::xDBM_File. It puts an encryption layer
over the top of a tieable dbm style file (gdbm, sdbm, ndbm, ...). The
encryption layer can be most any of the several Crypt:: modules that are
on CPAN.

If the name is inappropriate please let me know and I'll correct it.

Crypt::xDBM_File (Crypt-xDBM_File-0.80.tar.gz)
DSLI = Rdpr language might vary depending on encryption used, uses tie
interface

Ties a hash to an encryption scheme to dbm file (gdbm, ndbm, ...).
Encryption is at the key,value level.

new module

2000-08-01 Thread Aqutiv

Greetings,
I uploaded a new module File::Mode, It's a simple
perl library meant to handle file modes in various formats and convert
them
to other formats, as well it can store the files of
a directory in a hash with the files being the keys and their modes in
human-readable formats the values. (ie. -rwxrwxrwx), other methods are still in
development.

I know the name sounds very major, But I think I
did my best to check to see that it's not taken. However, If the
name
is inappropiate, Please let me know and I'll be
willing to correct it.

File::Mode (FileMode-0.05.tar.gz)
DSLI = bdpO

uses an Object-Oriented interface and blesses an
object reference.

You don't need perl to do that. Just start WordPerfect and "Save As..."
to text/ascii format.

New namespace for GIFgraph::Map module

2000-08-01 Thread Roman Kosenko

Hi,

Because of renaming Martien's Verbruggen GIFgraph module
I'd like to rename my GIFgraph::Map module to the GD::Graph::Map.

GD::Graph::Map module extends GD::Graph in order to allow
generate HTML map text for some graph objects.

My CPAN ID is RA.

Roman Kosenko

Module Proposal: Apache::GD::Graph

2000-08-01 Thread Rafael Kitover

Used like so in httpd.conf:

PerlModule Apache::GD::Graph

SetHandler perl-script
PerlHandler Apache::GD::Graph

Then requests such as:

http://www.your-server.com/chart?type=lines&x_labels=1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th&x_values=1,2,3,4,5&y_values=6,7,8,9,10

Will invoke GD::Graph to generate the appropriate graph, send it out
with an Expires header (which should be configurable), and also cache it
on the server as a file for the lifetime of the process.

NameDLSIDescription

Apache::GD::Graph adpnGenerate Graphs via an Apache handle

I have it uploaded as:

Apache-GDGraph-0.2.tar.gz if you're interested. (I know the test fails
:P)

Also, my module Template::Plugin::Java didn't seem to generate any
heated debate, does that mean it can go into the index? (heeh heeh).
