If they are all called Installer::something, they are apparently not
called Bundle::something.

Ahh, I see. Whatever is called Bundle::something should be nothing
more than a list of modules. The idea of collecting modules by
referencing their name. Not by collecting the modules themselves
(the referenced modules are expected to be on CPAN anyway).

A module should never be in the Bundle namespace.

Looks more like Rkit::something, as I get the impression, this hasn't
much to do with "applications" either.

Hmmm. If all you need is a namespace you use within the rkit script, I
see no reason to register a namespace at all. If the code is not going
to be reused, it may even live in the "main" namespace as no conflict
will occur. OTOH if there is a tiny chance that one of the packages
grows beyond itself and becomes reuseable, you can work in the
pet_s_mart::rkit:: namespace and wait until the time is ripe.

It seems to me that there's nothing wrong with the script rkit, but
that it is rather a script or application than a module. There's
nothing wrong with that, just nothing to be registered in the module
list.

I see, you haven't yet uploaded such a thing, so it may be of interest
to you to know that a Filesys:: namespace already exists:

Filesys::
::AFS cdcO AFS Distributed File System interfaceNOG
::Df Rdpr Disk free based on Filesys::Statvfs IGUTHRIE
::DiskFreeadpO OS independant parser of the df command ABARCLAY
::SamFS adcf Interface to SamFS API LUPE
::Statvfs Rdcf Interface to the statvfs() system call IGUTHRIE
::dfent   adpf By-name interfaceTOMC
::mntent  adpf By-name interfaceTOMC
::statfs  adpf By-name interfaceTOMC

I for one would rather expect a filesystem emulation layer in the
Filesys namespace than in IO. Maybe Filesys::Perl or Filesys::Base or
even Filesys::IO would seem natural. But maybe that's just me. Either
way, feel free to upload, do not wait until the light gets green.

  perlPOS is implemented purly in Perl (no XS) and it consists of a
number of packages (in the order of 25-30 packages). I am however a bit
unsure about the namespace to choose.

  I would like to use one of the following toplevel names

   a) POS::
   b) perlPOS::  (or)
   c) pPOS::

  Which one of the above should I use ?

Arun

Text:: is really a weak namespace for roman numerals. As Roman already
exists, I'd stay in the neighborhood. Roman::Int, Roman::Number,
or anything that characterizes your algorithm is good.

And please mention the other Roman module in your manpage, so people
get an idea why they should prefer yours.

BTW, there is a strange copyright in your manpage.
