[Mjpeg-users] Converting container formats
Hello. I was wondering if it was possible to convert between container formats without processing the data contained within them. For example: Can I convert from an AVI (MJPEG/PCM) to a Quicktime (MJPEG/PCM) without having to decode the mjpeg frames and then re-encode them (which would lose quality to some degree and take a very long time)? It will, of course, require that mjpegtools be built with libquicktime support :) Cheers, Steven Schultz - Take Surveys. Earn Cash. The only compilation problem I recall is C++ related - some 4.1.x g++ compilers can not compile y4mdenoise. Workaround was to delete y4mdenoise from the upper level Makefile so that it wouldn't build. A real fix requires some who knows C++ and that has not happened yet ;( I guess the answer to the question is "no". I can't see how not building y4mdenoise would have any effect on qttoy4m. More info provide will, naturally, allow for a better and/or more complete answer Cheers, Steven Schultz - Take Surveys. Earn Cash. Re: [Mjpeg-users] mjpegtools compilation problem
Thanks Steven As usual, I discovered after my email that qttoy4m (and others) was well here, but not installed in /usr/local/bin, like if the make install forgot it ... I DO promise I did "make install" I just made a cp to /usr/local/bin cheers E > On Fri, 12 Jan 2007, E.Chalaron wrote: > > I'm having a little trouble deciphering the message ;) > > >> Just a quick question, may the compilation problem on debian etch have >> side effects lie not compiling qttoy4m >> > > Hmmm - "like not compiling qttoy4m"? > > The only compilation problem I recall is C++ related - some 4.1.x > g++ compilers can not compile y4mdenoise.
