I've just tried dear esther with mesa 10.0.3 and the overrides you suggested and all I get is still: X Error of failed request: GLXBadFBConfig Major opcode of failed request: 153 (GLX) Minor opcode of failed request: 34 () Serial number of failed request: 186 Current serial number in output stream: 185 Seems in this case I got fooled, thinking my 1-2y old GPU would have compareable opengl support to the windows version.
