Re: [MlMt] Becoming a MM patron
Friends, Big vendors want to lock you into using their web-client to access their services. I despise Microsoft for doing exactly that. My work mail is locked to Office365 and OAuth2 which heavily restricts the clients you can use (Thank God, MailMate works!). I’m not suprised that Google does the same. Remember that, as far as gmail is concerned, you are the product. Their web clients allow them to watch the product do things, write email and leak information about themselves. Don’t trust web apps. I’ve been a MM patron for quite a while and that’s money well spent. Do the same, I second that earlier recommendation. I enjoy both the interaction of the users here, the development of the app and the knowledge gained from the kind advice rendered by Benny Kjær Nielsen, MailMate’s lead developer. Re: [MlMt] MailMate and Exchange
Euh… I’m a little surprised. I have mail mate setup against outlook.office365.com as an IMAP server and it works fine. -- Laurent On 22 Jan 2019, at 1:28, chairep...@mailbox.org wrote: Bad news. I have to use exchange to handle my work emails. I would rather use mailmate but mailmate doesn’t support exchange. That’s too bad. I’ve tried davmail to get mailmate handle it but with no success. The exchange server doesn't support neither imap nor smtp. Forwarding mails isn’t allowed as well. What should I do now? Re: [MlMt] Mailmate just started filling VM and making system unresponsive
Not this high. MailMate for me eats up 1.2GB when it starts and climbs from there. After a few hours, it often is at 2.5GB (which is too high IMHO). I have 400K emails in my inbox (some 80GB on disk). I got into the habit of stopping mailmate after each session because of the high memory footprint. (2GB is high to me I think ;-)). This has been bothering me, but 150GB would be utterly non-workable (I have 32G of RAM). Hope that helps give some idea. — Laurent On 16 Oct 2024, at 8:06, David R.
