[MlMt] MailMate not downloading mail

2024-06-27 Thread Andy ZE
Hi Folks

MailMate has stopped downloading mail from either of my two Gmail accounts. To
see if this was a server problem I ran Apple Mail, which has downloaded the
mail perfectly.

I am using MailMate v. 5937 on a MacBook Air with Ventura 13.4.1. I tried
reverting MM to the last stable version, but this made no difference. I have
done the obvious things like restarting MM and checking the email displays in
date order, newest at the top. I am not sure where to go from here.

Thanks

Andy

Open the “Activity” window - it might give you a hint what’s wrong. Also, are
you sure the accounts haven’t accidentally been taken “offline”?

[MlMt] Pasting URL in Plain Text Mode

2024-06-27 Thread Carlos Moffat
Hi,

I mostly compose email in MailMate in plain text mode. I’ve noticed that if I
copy a link from a webpage from Safari to paste on the compose window, it
always pastes it as a markdown link, e.g.

[preferences](https://manual.mailmate-app.com/preferences.html#markup_support)

instead of

https://manual.mailmate-app.com/preferences.html#markup_support

I don’t get why MailMate is doing this in plain text mode (when I paste this
link in other apps like terminal or my text editor, I (correctly) only get the
URL.

Any settings I’m missing here? (I an *positive* I am not composing in Markdown
mode).

Thanks,
Carlos

Re: [MlMt] Pasting URL in Plain Text Mode

2024-06-27 Thread i...@techworkspro.com
Carlos,

Have tried the KB shortcut ⌘K. For me it roprli formats the insertion commands
for the needed inline commands so you don’t send them as text. You also may
need to enable the feature for inling links. I’m not using MM now, however
since there’s no iOS version (hint to Benny)!

See the Help menu or the full MM Instructions for details.

[MlMt] Somehow automatically adding tags that I don't want to

2024-06-27 Thread Paul Hoffman
Greetings after a long time. I wanted to create a rule on incoming mail that
would add the tag "foo" to all mail from "some...@somewhere.net". I seem to
have messed it up, and now that tag is being added on all incoming mail, even
spam. However, I don't know which mailbox to edit to find that rule, and I
don't see a way to see all the rules for incoming mail. Any help would be
appreciated.
