Seems to be working for me on my 2019 Intel MBP running Sonoma 14.1.1.
Still, it goes without saying that the usual caveats apply with these
early test builds.

If an issue arises, can I simply revert by swapping it with the older

2023-11-22 Thread Henry Seiden
The upgrade/downgrade is easy this way, thankfully. I’ve done
upgrade/downgrade that way for every build since the official latest
pre-release (5964 and even earlier, I think) without difficulty.

Migrating MM settings to a new User/OS is a far different process, FYI.

[MlMt] MailMate 1.14 Experimental version r5999

2023-11-22 Thread Henry Seiden

Hi All,

I updated my installed MM version from the previous (r5998) to the
latest recent version, checked and reported the following issues with
the latest build of MM (r5999) via Feedback email (herewith copied to MM
Feedback as well):
* **Sound issues - no sent/received Mail sounds in MacOS 14.1.1 or later
on MBP 2021 M1Pro**. Several people here confirmed the problem on
various installations and prior versions of MM. This may be on the
drawing boards, but the Release history doesn’t include such known
issues.
* **Manually marking message as read (with unread status, automatic mode
turned fully off)**. Cannot turn off messages in a conversation thread
marked unread in the Inbox (or elsewhere) using the keyboard command
(SHIFT+⌘+U) at once. Workaround that works is simply hitting the
keyboard shortcut multiple times equal to the number of messages in the
thread (which can be exposed when so indicated in the message window).
Do not know what the preferred/desired action should be.
* **Kudos**. The unread always-on option setting is great for security
purposes and for constant indication of correct status. It avoids
accidentally setting the message as read even if it hasn’t been read,
as happens in other email apps (like Mail.app).
* **Helpful feature request in Revision Notes or elsewhere**. A “known
issues” section added to the Release History, per revision, so users
can track them, going forward. Since the Release Notes are so complete
going back to version 1.0, perhaps this doc should be a separate one?

Respectfully,

Henry Seiden
