[MlMt] Clicking links in emails doesn't open them (Version 1.14 (5918))

2022-09-26 Thread Jolin Warren
I don’t know if anyone else is having this issue, but I upgraded to 5918
yesterday, and now when I click a link in a received email, nothing happens.
The first time I clicked on a link, it opened in Safari as expected. But any
other links don’t do anything. Is this a known issue with 5918? I’m on MacOS
12.5.1. Thanks!

2022-09-26 Thread Henry Seiden

Jolin,

FWIW, links in my signature work within the body of sent posts. Links
well and properly appear for me in Safari browser pages on receipt or
when opening random old sent emails in r5918.

I have it installed in MacOS 15.6 (current release). Also testing this
release on Ventura Beta 8.

The latter installation is giving me trouble in a number of other ways
including downloading messages to the respective Inbox. So, I think the
installation there mangled some settings of mailboxes. Unrelated to your
issue. Will work on reinstalling known working settings.

Separate thread to be added, when those issues are more fully diagnosed.

Respectfully,

Henry Seiden

But Jolin's problem is with /received/ email, not /sent/ email. Not sure what
you're getting at here...

2022-09-26 Thread Richard Rettke
I have encountered this also. My analysis is that the links that do not
work for me, are always links within the email itself. For example a
bunch of links summarizing the contents of the email and then clicking a
link should take you to the appropriate location within the email. Those
types of link have been problematic for me. Links to the web have not
been a problem.

This may not be your problem but it may be a clue that I hope that may
shed some light.

[MlMt] Is there a way to get the ID of the message that was just sent?

2022-09-26 Thread Robert Wall
Working through some task automation here, and what I really need is the
ability to get a message link to my sent message *right after I hit
"send"* so that I can shuttle it off to my task manager.

I know I can get the message link if I open up "Sent", click on the
message, and then do the Edit -> Copy as Link.

But is there any faster way to do that? Maybe some sort of AppleScript
voodoo?___
