Benny, With r5875 I have a new problem… “Ridiculously long signature error,” detected by SMTP Server (AWS). Hiya Benny, not sure if this is relevant but rendering HTML seems to be pretty slow. I occasionally have to switch to HTML to view a message and when I did this this morning with a change to PayPal's T&Cs it was a bit like watching treacle. It is a very long e-mail but still feels unusually slow (same in 5875 as in 5874). Let me know if you want the original e-mail. Re: [MlMt] Scrolling of message contents gets "stuck"
Benny, With r5875 I have a new problem with this build… “Ridiculously long signature error,” detected by SMTP Server (AWS). I’m reverting to old version to compare on the same account and email previously sent, but to my gmail account to sample the error. Since I am limited by space for attachments, I can send you a raw header example (attachment, not enclosed), showing the problem that’s being grabbed by AWS SES servers. However I would have to do so to a different address if you provide me with one. Speculating, I assume it’s actually sticking all or part of the message body content into the signature Markup to cause it to swell to that extent. Since they did not say that the message was returned or trapped, I assume it’s being delivered with the warning in place. Reverted back to the previous build and tried it again to a Gmail account and there was no trapping error returned to me. I therefore conclude it’s something within your latest update causing it. So, until you un-revise the Test Build, will not use 5875. The scrolling issue on reading messages was NOT a problem for me anyway. Respectfully, Henry Seiden Techworks Pro Co. [MlMt] How can I save the HTML part of an email so that I can open in a browser or text editor?
The previous email program I used (Gyazmail) would consider the HTML part of an email as any other attachment, and would let me save the HTML part by drag-and-dropping it to my desktop. Hi All, My Send Item mailbox on an Exchange account seems to have a duplicate of each message I have sent. I'm not sure how to trouble shoot. Re: [MlMt] duplicate sent mail
This is a known issue: Mailmate moves the message from Drafts to Sent after you send it (that's the one with few headers), and then Exchange "helpfully" puts a copy of all outgoing mail into Sent as well. I have simply made a smart "In/Out" mailbox to show me messages where "From is not me" or "Received does not exist", which hides all of the Exchange copies. pr On 1 Mar 2022, at 13:55, Zvi Biener wrote: Hi All, My Send Item mailbox on an Exchange account seems to have a duplicate of each message I have sent. Not direct save but you could change view to “Show HTML Source”, copy the text, paste into a text editor, save. On 2022-03-01 at 17:30:16 UTC-0500 (Tue, 01 Mar 2022 23:30:16 +0100) Robert Brenstein is rumored to have said: Not direct save but you could change view to “Show HTML Source”, copy the text, paste into a text editor, save. That doesn't give you the original HTML part of a multipart message, but the HTML generated by MM to display any message, even messages that are sent as pure plain text. To get the HTML part of a multipart (or pure HTML) message, you need to use "Show Raw Message" and snip out the text of the HTML part. It will start with something like this: --=_Random_Meaningless_Unique_Boundary_String_= Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable And end like this: --=_Random_Meaningless_Unique_Boundary_String_=-- On 1 Mar 2022, at 17:41, Quinn Comendant wrote: The previous email program I used (Gyazmail) would consider the HTML part of an email as any other attachment, and would let me save the HTML part by drag-and-dropping it to my desktop. Thanks for both of your suggestions: > Not direct save but you could change view to “Show HTML Source”, […] Bill's correct, that won't give me access to the raw HTML. > To get the HTML part of a multipart (or pure HTML) message, you need to use > "Show Raw Message" […] That's what I've been doing, but it's not convenient because the raw email part will be either base64 or quoted-printable encoded, which is not easy to decode. Base64 is easy to decode, but it seems to be less common. I'm not sure how to decode quoted-printable correctly. The reason I want to extract HTML messages is to analyze them to improve the spam filtering on the mail servers I manage, and it's really useful to be able to access the html. You might want to look at how the plugins work. The e-mails themselves should be available as text files and lots of programming languages have e-mail processing libraries that you could pass the e-mails to. This would let you strip out the HTML for further processing.
