[MlMt] Markdown Preview Speed
I’m using markdown all the time and the preview is opened as soon as I write some MD styling tags. So far so good… the problem is, that editing becomes extremely slow and I’m using high-end machines. So, is there any way to speed up MD previewing? Or is there something else getting into the way? -- Robert M. I wonder if it has anything to do with your PGP settings. It takes MM about 5 seconds to read **any** of your messages! :-/ Alternatively, it is possible to configure MailMate to use something else for composing the messages. I often use TextMate for this: it doesn't have WYSIWYG for Markdown but syntax highlighting is generally enough for me. [MlMt] Updated and now can't launch
Hi, Long time MM user. I've been using r5679 (I think) for a while. I just updated to the most current release and now MM won't launch for me. I get the generic message MailMate cannot be opened because of a problem. Check with the developer to make sure MailMate works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X. I tried re-installing r5679 and still get the same error. I tried 5678 as well with no love. I also tried the main download page for the most current standard release. I use an older iMac running OS 10.11.6 Any thoughts how I can get MM running again? Thanks, v ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
Re: [MlMt] Updated and now can't launch
I resolved part of this… rookie mistake… I had multiple versions installed and the wrong one in my dock. Anyways, I have determined that r5684 won’t run for me, but r5679 seems ok. I haven’t tried any of the intermediary versions. verdon On 20 Apr 2020, at 10:27, Verdon Vaillancourt wrote: Hi, Long time MM user. I've been using r5679 (I think) for a while. Thank you for pointing that out, Charlie. Very helpful. -- Robert On 19 Apr 2020, at 11:18, Charlie Clark wrote: On 18 Apr 2020, at 20:36, Robert DelRossi wrote: Yes, Pat. That's it and thank you. It's worth knowing that the "correspondence" view has a little panel with all the threads for a particular contact. Re: [MlMt] Confused About Threading
Is it possible somehow to have an INBOX (or smart mailbox) that shows full threads while showing only those threads that touch the INBOX? I.e., I'd love to have the full threads for my ongoing conversations, but I don't want to see threads from All Mailboxes. Specifically, I wouldn't want to see threads that lie wholly within Archive or that only touch Archive and Sent Messages. That requires a notion of "active conversation" that I have insufficient clue to implement... On 19 Apr 2020, at 10:18, Charlie Clark wrote: On 18 Apr 2020, at 20:36, Robert DelRossi wrote: Yes, Pat. Re: [MlMt] Confused About Threading
Robert, Is it possible somehow to have an INBOX (or smart mailbox) that shows full threads while showing only those threads that touch the INBOX? In the ‘Examples’ folder that comes by default with a new MM installation there should be a smart mailbox called ‘Personal inbox with threading’. Does that not work for you? In any case you can use it as a basis for your own version. Cheers Ian ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
