Re: [MlMt] Tags/Keywords and Gmail Labels

(Display name and IMAP keyword.) 2) add the Tag to the message -- the Tag should not have anything in the Gmail Label column 3) verify the message shows in the smart mailbox that shows messages with the Tag 4) add the Gmail Label to the Tag in Preferences What is the name of the Gmail label? What I see after step 4 is the message no longer is shown in the smart mailbox. What does show in there are 3 messages I sent ([Gmail]/Sent Mail) to the mailing list the Gmail folder was for. They now have the tag applied but not by me. Removing the Gmail Label from the Tag brings the original message back plus the 3 messages that correspond to the 3 sent messages, they now have the Tag applied, too. I now have 7 messages showing in the smart mailbox. Ok, I can try to reproduce this if you answer the questions above. It would be nice to have (like TBird and Outlook and Mail.app) a menu command to flip the online/offline switch for all accounts at once or individually, akin to the File->Synchronize menu. I'd like to see a keyboard shortcut and a toolbar icon to toggle the online/offline state. Technically, it's certainly not a problem to implement all of the above. It comes up pretty often which means I should probably do something about it :) I could use it myself, but my problem is that I have a group of test accounts which are offline most of the time. That would make the “Take All Online” action pretty annoying to use. This is a different problem though and is related to a different “request”: The ability to hide unused accounts. Why both? I do like driving everything from the keyboard, but I often enough read email with a cup of coffee or sandwich in one hand, and a mouse can be used with the other hand. :-) -- Benny ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

After setting a Tag with all three entries set to `disc`, I created a smart mailbox to see the messages for that Tag. All I see are the three messages from my [Gmail]/Sent Mail folder which were not in the `disc` folder, none of the other messages are accessible, even when searching for specific subject words (`disc-l`), all I get then are messages I sent ([Gmail/Sent Mail) to the list that I didn't keep around in the `disc` folder. Would be happy to try other scenarios to get this resolved. Thanks, Jim___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

So, after removing the entire Tag entry from the preferences, I needed to restart MailMate to see my disc folder again. I remember that such an action would not make any changes to current messages but instead, my smart mailbox now shows 6 messages: the three from the sent folder and their corresponding messages I kept from the mailing list. Apparently these all still have the Keyword and the smart mailbox reflects that but there's no indication in the header display(like there is when the keyword is set in Tags Preferences.
