Re: [MlMt] Attachments List

I have to scroll sideways to be able to use the quicklook and save buttons. Can this list be customised? I'd love to be rid of the part that states the attachment type, for example, the part that says: application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessin... If I remember correctly I had problems finding a good default styling of this. The default maximum width is simply 400px. You can create a [custom stylesheet](http://manual.mailmate-app.com/customization#messagedisplay) and insert something like the following to change that: table.attachments td { max-width: 200px; } If you come up with a better (dynamically sizing) default stylesheet then let me know. (It's not something I'm going to spend a lot of effort on since the long term plan is to move attachments out of the HTML generated to display the message.) -- Benny ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

Could you write down a series of steps, e.g., involving the Inbox and All Messages and send it to me off list? Thanks in advance. I'm experiencing the same thing but can't seem to get a handle on what's doing it. I just notice that I enter the Inbox for example, to see that the order has switched from ascending to descending. I had to switch back. I'd also see threading enabled in another folder and have to switch back. I'll wait and see if it arises again, though I'm suspecting that it already has. I haven't performed a search before or during any of it. Thanks for the hints. I'll keep an eye out for this. Re: [MlMt] compose window cc box
On 18 Jun 2015, at 22:03, Ale Muñoz wrote: How can I make an input box for "cc" appear automagically, by default, when I compose a new message? In the menu you used to add the CC field there's an option called "Use as Default Headers" that should enable whenever you change the visible fields. Select it, and you should be golden. Alternatively, don't display it by default, but hit ⌥+Return in the “To” header to add the “Cc” header (and do it again to get the “Bcc” header). -- Benny ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

Smart Dashes doesn't appear in that menu, I've only got Smart Copy+Paste, Smart Quotes and Smart Links, all of which are disabled. If I right click the message window I can do Substitutions -> Smart Dashes to disable it, but it doesn't seem to persist. It's not in the menu because I very recently fixed this -- it helped that I had the issue myself after installing MailMate on a new machine ;-) (I prefer disabling most of these “smart” features myself.) -- Benny ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

The only main issue with it is that for some reason that I'm not yet able to reproduce, switching views leads to cursor ending up in the search field. However, there's a workaround in that I can toggle layouts, i.e., switch to another layout and back to dual mode. The mode starting with a blank screen is bad when unexpected since the user may feel nothing is happening, but once you toggle the views, the blank screen will disappear. Will it continue to be available for use since I've configured my installation to enable it? Yes. Good. I'm in need of way to improve use of screen real estate and this is one of them. — Curtis acm ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
[MlMt] see release notes without updating?
Is there any way to see the release notes that accompany a new version of MailMate (the changelog) without actually installing the new version? The listing at http://updates.mailmate-app.com/release_notes doesn't cover beta releases.
