There is a test version available now (hold down ⌥ when clicking “Check Now” in the Software Update preferences pane). Let me know if this does not fix the issue. I'll probably release it as a beta within an hour or two (if I don't get reports about it still not working). -- Benny ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

Re: [MlMt] iCloud UIDVALIDITY issue
Hi, I didn't get any replies to my first post, but I have a few more details to share. It happened again for the (frustrated) user and this time I got an important piece of the puzzle: C: J145 UID COPY 24505 Archive S: J145 NO [CORRUPTION] Mailbox has an invalid format The above simply means that MailMate asks to copy a message to the “Archive” mailbox and the iCloud server replies that the “Archive” mailbox is [corrupted][1]. Apparently this leads to the server rebuilding the mailbox and assigning a new UIDVALIDITY value. This then (correctly) triggers MailMate to redownload the mailbox. This is primarily a performance problem, but unfortunately it also appears that any custom IMAP keywords assigned to the messages in the mailbox are *lost*. The main purpose of these posts is to find out if any other users have issues with losing tags assigned to messages in an iCloud account. If more users are found then I hope we might also find a way to reproduce what looks like an iCloud server bug. That might lead to a possible workaround (and a bug report for Apple). Note that as long as I cannot reproduce the problem myself then I cannot claim with 100% certainty that iCloud IMAP is to blame. Thanks in advance. -- Benny [1]: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5530#section-3 On 5 Jan 2015, at 21:11, Benny Kjær Nielsen wrote: Hi, I have a user (off list) with the following issue with an iCloud account (`imap.mail.me.com`): * Emails in the “Archive” mailbox are tagged with various values (and used for smart mailboxes). * After some time (might be months) a change in the UIDVALIDITY value of the mailbox is reported by MailMate. * This requires resynchronizing the mailbox (refetching all messages). If the change of UIDVALIDITY really happened then this is all fine, but the tags are lost which is of course very frustrating for the user. My question is simple: Has any one else experienced this problem with iCloud (or any other server)? If yes, do you have any details to share? Re: [MlMt] iCloud UIDVALIDITY issue
Interesting issue that accompanied the resync the other day... So, as described in the last email I send you about an hour ago, some tags from other IMAP accounts were changed to a previous state. So when I went back into my Archive to re-tag everything (for the 7th or 8th time), I noticed that emails that I had previously deleted (FROM OTHER IMAP ACCOUNTS) were back in my Archive. Any explanation for that? ~/b On 7 Jan 2015, at 5:48, Benny Kjær Nielsen wrote: Hi, I didn't get any replies to my first post, but I have a few more details to share. No. I cannot think of anything in MailMate which would trigger such behavior other than “Edit ▸ Undo”. -- Benny ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com http://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

Actually, based on the crash reports, it looks like the same issue Allie had a couple of days ago (although triggered differently). @Thomas: Could you run MailMate from the Terminal and then provide me with the crash output off list (“Help ▸ Send Feedback”).
