I typed "sudo apt-get upgrade --fix-missing" then it downloaded lot of file and when I restarted the system it got hang with a dialog box " "It seems that you do not have the hardware required to run Unity. Please choose the Ubuntu Classic Desktop at the login screen and you will be using the traditional environment." unity interface? did you gave "sudo apt-get upgrade -d" ? Unity will be released only by tomorrow, isn't it? are u getting the ubuntu login screen ? Wow! That was really not what I expected to happen. Anyway, you should still be able to login through rescue mode. Also try all the kernels listed in the boot menu. But unfortunately I don't have much knowledge with the new Unity desktop. However, you should try logging in through rescue mode. Then running the command "init 2" which may hopefully support graphics interface. Try running "gdm" from there. Also, try to make sure all your updates were properly installed. By running "apt-get update" and "apt-get upgrade" once more.
