Video editing

2023-07-16 Thread Tom Rash
I’ve been using the Mac for a little over a year but still consider myself a
newbie. I’ve started a project of digitizing VHS video tapes. I have over 40
years of old family videos on my hard drive now. I’m wanting a piece of
software where I can edit these videos. Simple editing like cutting an
copying, nothing else. I tried iMovie, but that is a little intense. Can
anyone recommend a simple video editing software to do this? Thanks.

Re: Video editing

2023-07-17 Thread Tom Rash
It’s a little early on the west coast right now. I’ll have to check with my
son later today. It’s basically a cord with VCR connections on one end and USB
on the other. There is some software to down load for a Mac or PC. In the
mean time, maybe a search for digital video converter might get results. Sorry
I don’t have a direct answer for you right now.

This is the software to convert. You also get the wiring to connect your

I know that once it was going you just hit the space bar to record and stop

If it is an installment payment, like if you bought something with no interest

Are these installment payments? Like if you’re paying off something and want

Okay, if you want to make a payment on a specific device go to the Apple Card.
Click on the more button. Swipe until you hear monthly installments. Click
on the device, name in question, and click pay early.

Re: Closing n app on iPhone 15 pro

2023-11-10 Thread Tom Rash
To get to the app switcher, swipe up with one finger from the bottom
Of the screen. When you feel the third vibration, stop swiping up. Swipe
left or right to close the app or apps by swiping up with three fingers for
each app you want to close.
Good luck.
You’ll get there.
double tapping on that app.

Re: Closing n app on iPhone 15 pro

2023-11-13 Thread Tom Rash
It sounds like you have the gesture correct, just keep practicing. It is also
important to have a steady hand and a smooth gesture. To get to the app
switcher is three vibrations or clicks up, then swipe left or with to close
apps. Also, you could have notifications in the tap back feature of your
phone. This way you could just tap the back of the phone twice and that could
bring up your notifications.

I am also pretty new to the Mac. I don’t get many PDF files. Do I need to get

Re: cd player/burner

My only suggestion is to make sure that the CD is right side up when inserting
it into the player. I’m sure you’ve taken that into consideration though.
Good luck.

Re: Typing Messages in IOS when onscreen keyboard not visible

Just turn blue tooth off and on again. This will disconnect the keyboard or
whatever device you are using. Turn it on again so you can have blue tooth for
watch and things like that., but turning it off and on should take care of the
problem.

You don’t need a pass word or authentication. I think the reason for that is
that When you put the watch on you need to enter the password, so that takes

On my Mac mini, I hear that only when it shuts down. If I do nothing for 20
minutes, it goes into sleep mode with that verbiage. Stays quiet until I tap
the space bar to wake it up.

Calculater on the Mac

2024-09-22 Thread Tom Rash
Since I’ve upgraded to the latest version of iOS, The calculator doesn’t work
as it did before.
There was an area in the menu where you could turn off speech and use the
speech from the calculator. That speech menus no longer there. Anyway, any
thoughts for those of you that have used the calculator before?

Re: Be my eyes now on Rayban meta smart glasses

2024-12-01 Thread Tom Rash
I haven’t noticed any of those problems. I’ve had mine for just over a week
now. Using them everyday. The only problem I was really having was getting
the glasses to read text rather than an ai.synopsis. Got that figured out now.
 Great so far.

What a great person he is. I never personally met him but conversed with him
