Yes basically what you have to do unfortunately is open Fine Reader itself and
then reopen the pdf file. So save the pdf file first then open Fine Reader and
convert it. I know it’s a few more steps but I think they took out the old way
of doing it right from an email or just right from a file. Sorry I can’t be

some basic questions about a mac

2012-07-08 Thread Scott Berry

Hello there,

I am thinking about changing over to a Mac exclusively for school work.
but I have a few questions.

1. Will Microsoft Office work with VoiceOver? If not, what would be
another good word processing program for school work?

2. I do remember a while ago that there was a site with Mac apps on it
that worked well for the blind could I get that site again please

3. I have a Pacmate braille display will that work on the Mac?

4. I also have a Enabling Technologies Romeo 25 braille embosser will
that work on the Mac?

5. Due to restrictions at college they force me to install Symantec
Antivirus will there be any problems with that?

6. Are there any good podcasts, blogs, or any other pages about
Voiceover and how to use a Mac as a blind person?

couple of questions about Time Machine and changing the clocks and weather

2014-01-27 Thread Scott Berry
Hello there,

I was looking at the time, weather and date widget. I was wondering:

1. How do you change the time and weather and your world clocks?

I also want to start Time Machine so I have backups to go back to if needed.

1. How do I set up a drive that is NTFS to a drive for Mac only? Also I have
some Documents and such I need to back up before switching over, how do I do
this?

2. How do I begin the set up process with Time Machine?

Command Delete VO doesn't always show it as deleted.

Should report these to feedback this is the only way they will get ixed.

what is the last line in the script to save that as an .aiff file?

One reason I'm doing this via Apple script instead of save to iTunes as a

Fingers crossed, someone out there knows exactly what I need. :)

how to enhance the say word count script

a question about Apple script

2014-05-21 Thread Scott Berry
Hey there,

Does anyone know if Applescript is smart enough to go to a web site download
grades and then put them in a spreadsheet? I'd like to make a script that does
that for me.

Re: a question about Apple script

Alex,

Could you write me off list at sb356...@gmail.com. I'd like to see if we could
work on this together and come up with an awesome script cause I have more
little scripts that may also be cool for college students and maybe blind
teachers as well.
