the best way to rout audio from Skype to nice cast.
Hi all. I was wundering, what would be the best way to rout audio from Skype to nice cast? I do have a show that I'm going to do on my radio station and right now, I don't have my mixer with me to rout things like that. so what I have tried, is to use my application source on nice cast to audio highjack pro, and highjack all of the needed audio coming through Skype to nice cast, but nothing goes through nice cast that way accept for my headset that I have also highjacked. Is there something that I'm missing here or is this just not possible without a mixer? thanks all and I would like to know as soon as possible... I'm thinking about writing an apple script on mac to notify a voiceover user when an I message user is typing and to have it play a sound when it is not focused in the I message app. my question to you all is, is there a way that this can be done using like an object handle or something, and if so, how can I properly script this. Routing audio through Skype with audio highjack 3.
Hello all, so, let me explain my situation of what’s going on here… I do a lot of music production and I do have a mixer that I use for most of my production stuff. But, there are sometimes, to where if someone is going to be recording vocal tracks through Skype while they are hearing the music go through. My question is this. I can record vocals through my board that I use, but, the problem with that is, the music and the vocals would come through the recording and I don’t want that… Is there a way with audio hijack 3 that I can have the Skype user here the music and record their voice but not let the music be heard? I’m hoping that I’m making sense to you all about this. If not, let me know. My point is this. Is there a way, that I can do solo vocal tracks through Skype while the music is being heard through that particular person on Skype but not let the music go through the recording that I have made? Thanks all. P.S. I don’t have sound flower yet and should I get that as well if I want to achieve my goal over here, or will audio hijack 3 work fine for what I need. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Hit that, enter in your password, and the un installer should ask you to reboot your system. Once that’s done, sound flower should be uninstalled and you will no longer have to worry about it. Regarding download speeds from external HD and other stuff with new MBP
Hello. I’m hoping that someone can help me out with this as soon as possible. So, a couple of days ago, I got a new mac book pro 13 inch retina display 2015 mottle and I do love it. But, I often boot from my 2 TB western digital my book external hard drive. I’M having the following problems. 1. I can download only up to 100 KPS on my external booted into it but when on the internal SSD hard drive I can make my download speeds up to 1 meg per second. 2. When shutting down, from the external, it will frees during shutdown and I would have to shut it down manually and I do not like doing that. 3. If anyone are familiar with nicecast and DJay, I’m having a problem both on internal and on the external HD of when I start broadcasting without DJay pro opened it sends the data through but when I stop broadcasting, and open up Djay and hit start broadcast again, it will not even send data through and I would have to do a restart. Is, this a hardware problem? If someone can shed some light on this matter, I would be grateful. I have done everything from reinstalling the OS on the external to doing a release of my DHCP in network preferences and still not really getting anywhere. One more question. In regards to download speeds, is it because I’m booted from my external HD and that hard drive is just slow because there is a lot of stuff on it? I have never seen this problem when booting it into my old macbook. Again, anything you all can shed light on I would appreciate. Thanks all. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. regarding garageband 10 and changing affects with software instruments.
Hi all, I have been playing around with the new garageband 10 for quite some time and one of the things that I a coming accrossed is I can’t really change or add affects with software instruments. ah… I don’t know if I’m missing something here but when I look in the smart controls, there is like, nothing there. and all I see is empty and I can’t do anything with voiceover… is there a way where I can change the affects on a software instrument? Thanks… if anyone can show me how to do that, I would be glad if you did. I’m a very picky producer who wants to add the right affects Lol. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Hi, I do have a question about automatically add to iTunes. When I go in to add folders to that automatically add to iTunes folder, most of the music gets added to iTunes but not all of them. The reason is is that I’m setting up a VPX voip server on my linux server and I would like a way that I can communicate with users on my mac rather than on my server… all though I think I might install one on my server just to be safe. so does anyone know of any soft phone software for mac? Ftp server using the server app
Hello, I am thinking about setting up an FTP server using the server on Mac. I've done this before, but I have failed. Due to incorrect Port forwarding, I have forward ports 21 and other ports to make the FTP server work. But when one of my other machines connects to the network via FTP, it doesn't want to allow the connection. Is there any other ports that I should forward? Re: Ftp server using the server app
There is two ways to enable it. One is to go in to the terminal and type in a command which I forgot at the moment. But the other one is, to go in to the server app if you have it. And that can also enable the service. Editing in GarageBand 10
Hello all, is anybody having problems editing in the new version of GarageBand? The reason I'm asking this is because, i used to be able to edit regions, and split, copy, and paste, in the older version of GarageBand quite well! But now, with the newer version, I can't seem to do that. I can split, copy, but I can't paste it even if it's in the exact place where I want it to go. I am honestly getting sick of this, and if anybody has any suggestions on how I can solve this problem, I would be very grateful. Thanks Jonnyboy! Problem with DJay from algoriddems on OS X Yosemite.
Hello all. so, I have been doing a lot of DJaying with the program called DJay from Algoriddems. Great program indeed! But, when I have updated to the new version of Yosemite, In just a few minutes playing music from my 8 channel mixing board, and other stuff that i use for DJaying, I would here a bit of audio stuttering / cutting out a tiny bit. . Do you all know if this is a hardware problem? because I have never had this problem before I have upgraded and now that I have, not sure what to do with it… I have tested out my setup this morning without any broadcasting going on with nicest and it still does it within a few minutes tops. I’m running a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and I have 8 gigs of ram in this thing. so I really don’t think that would be the problem because I have had it work flawlessly before using the same specks using 10.9. No-ip.org, really and truly a serious unaccessible problem...
Hi all… I'm having a really unusual question here… has anyone ever used no-ip before to host anything before and getting their dynamic IPs updated for hosting things such as an ftp server or any other server that you guys hosted, if so, if you have used no-ip.org and the regular client for updating DNS on no-ip.org, have you ever found their client to be rather unaccessible? so much so that you can't even navigate it accept for dialog boxes? What can I do to get everything working with my mac correctly with this service and if there is another application that has been written for the DNS update client can anyone help me in the write direction of how to go about this and if not, can you guys describe how you guys did it because I really can't navigate the un knowns and I hate them with a passion… I'm sorry for this rather long email but I'm well… as I would like to say,,,… on a mission… Lol. so yeah… if anyone can help out with this, I would be very grateful… Thanks all. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Re: Finding out how much ram your mac can take
on the site, go to the heading where it says something like system tools and in that section, go to system scanner… It's a link and once you click on that you will be abel to download it and after you download it, like I have said, well.. open up the disk image and just open up the application… You do not need to copy the app over to your applications folder. open the app and it will take only a few seconds and it will begin to open up in your web browser and show you the results and it will tell you how much ram it can take and all kinds of stuff… it will even tell you how many slots you have for the ram and you will be able to order it on line depending on how much ram you want to get upgraded. I am upgrading my mac form 2 gigs to 8 gigs and it only was for 70 bucks. They will even give you installation instructions on how to do it yourself… This is so cool because I am going to be doing this by myself and if you want, if things go right and I get it correctly installed. If you still have trouble installing it, I can help you with that if you want. thanks. ftp server hosting programs,
Hi all… I was wandering if you guys knew of any accessible, free if they can be, ftp server hosting programs that I could use to host my own ftp server? I'm looking for a program that can write aliases for different folders and such and have different permissions for different user accounts on the server and stuff… If any one can tell me a good program that can do the job well and is, (accessible) I would be very grateful. regarding VMware tools on vmware fewtion 6 and windows xp
Hi all. if anyone is running vmware fusion 6 and is using an xp VM, I am having a problem. if anyone has vmware tools installed on an xp VM, I'm having a problem with my VMware tools. when I start up my xp VM, it will try to start up VMware tools, but vmware tools core services crashes and I get a send airror and don't send airror button. oh and I did tell VMware fusion when I started up my windows xp VM for the first time after upgrading vmware fusion 6 to upgrade the VM. does this mean, that the latest version of vmware doesn't support xp any more with vmware tools? or is there a work around for this type of crash. I want all my sinkrinisation stuff back and I can't do it unless the vmware tools core service is running which it crashes on startup on my xp VM. if you guys could help with this, I would be grateful. Thanks all and sorry for this long email… Lol. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. hi. I have 8 gigs on my mac and my VM of xp is running I believe on 3 gigs, which is more than enough for what I need it for pluss I don't want to slow down performance on my mac side of things either. but yeah. you think I should try removing VMware tools all together and then installing it again? because I just did a rep of vmware tools and that didn't help. is there an update of VMware tools that I don't know about? thanks. apple script questions.
Hi all okay I have a couple of questions… I am thinking of coding my own apple scripts and I would like to have one of them for example, to tell me that I went to a next song in this pandora app that I have called Pandabar… my question for this is, how would I make that script to work correctly and make it so that no matter what key short cut it's using it would always say next song or something like that and creating that if statement if voiceover is running as well, I would like that to have… and also, how to make voiceover speak that text… I'm sorry if I can't really give a clear explanation about this but yeah… anyways. my basic question is, how would I write that script correctly so that it will properly behave when voiceover is running and is only functional when voiceover is running… and how would I make that work only when that app or process is actively running? thanks all and hope to here from you soon. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Re: Web Design on a mac or virtual machine
Hi all, I at the moment have 2 websites that are designed by notepad using a windows VM. I for one sometimes use nano to edit my webpages when I'm in my server and things. when I first started my website, I started it from my schools dorm that I was in at the time and still am, but I needed to find a way to build it so I at that time, used notepad on what ever computer I could get on at my schools dorm and storing and uploading all of my pages with MFTP. but now, I use, if I'm on the windows side of things, notepad what I have been doing, but to upload I use winSCP to do all my uploading I'm sorry for giving this much info, but I feel it's needed Lol. take cair all. Regarding GarageBand, of which no one is responding to!

Is there a more consistent way to do this and have it put the files at the play head position? If you could help me out with this as soon as possible, I would be grateful. Jonnyboy! Regarding virtual machine. and Windows 7.
Hello all, I have a question or two. Ever since I have upgraded to vmware 7, in my Windows 7 virtual machine, I am unable to use my up and down arrows in my DeskTop. I can use my left and right arrow keys, but not my upper down keys. The only other place that this happens in is programs and features. In there, I am unable to see anything, because of that. So, I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on how I can fix this. I have tried it with Jaws, and NVDA and they both produce the same results. Jonnyboy! Regarding pitch correction in the new version of GarageBand
Hello, I am having a hard time having GarageBand recognize the pitch correction of my voice. If I turn the pitch correction up to 100, and hit the checkbox that says limit to key, it still does not correct and auto tune my voice. In the old version, it works fine. But I'm not sure what they screwed up in this new version. Is anybody found a way to get around this? Jonnyboy! Anybody having a problem with nicecast and network conductivity?
So, was just wondering who ever uses nicecast, I am not using it to broadcast, my twitter, and my Internet browsing, is relatively fast. But, when I go to broadcast on a server using the program, web browsing and Twitter posting, is very slow. It's not my network, because everything else that end of things seems to be running pretty well. And this is using the latest version. And it's running on mavericks. Jonnyboy!
