audio and voiceover

2014-01-30 Thread Gene Baroni
I want to know if there is a way to have voiceover use my Mac and have audio
use my speaker system? I spoke to the accessibility team and they were of the
opinion it isn't possible unless you use a third party app. What do you guys
think?

  Hi all,
I just saw this on Twitter: Apple is now letting anyone test OS X, starting
with 10.9.3. Please consider doing this to provide more accessibility feedback.
I'm off to figure out how to run off a USB drive (I don't have a spare mac to
play with and can't afford major problems on my machine). Here's the link:

  Hi Mike,

The one you need is the kiamtac kdc410I. You can have it on amazon for about
330 bucks. There are two versions of this scanner. Make sure you get the I
version. The standard version pares with the iphone, but only as a HID device.
Essentially it acts like a keyboard and that is it. The I version is fully
intergrated with digit-eyes. They are the same price too.

I have a sheet here that lets you adjust the scan time which I can send you
once you have your kdc. Default is two seconds and for me, I've found that I
need a bit mor time than that usually.

Hi,

the obvious things like turning all other Bluetooth devices off etc, but
when I enter the code, which is always 12345678, and press return as

obvious, or have they broken access to this?
