Re: a Dictation button?

2012-06-14 Thread Chad Rohr
I've heard that pressing the function key twice in a row will start dictation
in mountain lion. I would assume that tapping the function key twice again will
stop dictation

Reading pdf's on the iPad

2014-01-24 Thread Chad Rohr
Is there a way on the iPad to read pdf documents other than it reading the
whole thing at once? Maybe line by line if possible.

Reading emails

2014-05-14 Thread Chad Rohr
I just found a trick that helps make reading emails go way faster. When you are
inside the message of an email if you flick up with two fingers it starts
reading from the beginning of the current message.
I figured since I didn't know this someone else probably doesn't as well.

Sincerely,
Chad Rohr

Abby finereader

2010-08-28 Thread Chad Rohr
Hello,
I am looking into buying an OCR software for the mac. I've done some reading
but wasn't sure on one thing. Can Abby Finereader convert PDF files into
editable documents or am I going to have to get a different program for that.
Also I was looking on their website and saw that there is a express version and
a professional version I didn't know which was accessible or not.
Any and all help is great.

DVD ripping software

2013-01-11 Thread Chad Rohr
I have ripped a bunch of my DVDs that I bought a while ago. But it's probably
been like six months Since I have done this. What is the best application that
you guys use for ripping commercially bought DVDs?
I was using DVD reMaster But I know there is a new version of that and I can't
get my old version to work correctly.
Thank you very much for the assistance.

Sincerely,
Chad Rohr

2013-03-23 Thread Chad Rohr
I have ripped some DVDs that I own with dvdReMaster to m4v format. Now I am
trying to just get the audio from the files. Can anyone suggest the best way to
go about this?
Also if there is a way to do it with dvdReMaster without having to rip it to
m4v format before hand could someone explain to me how to do this.
Thank you very much

Chad Rohr

switching from bootcamp to fusion

2010-10-02 Thread Chad Rohr
Hello,
When I first got my mac I installed bootcamp on it. I partitioned 32 Gigs for
it. I am now trying to switch to fusion and it is importing all of the 32 gigs
from the bootcamp partition even though I have used only 13 gigs. Is there a
way to change this and only import the gigs that I used or does it have to do
all or nothing?
Thanks very much for your help

Battery status

2010-04-14 Thread Chad Rohr
Hello,
I got a Macbook a few weeks ago and things are going great. There is one thing
I cant figure out, is there a way to check the battery status. I have had
someone sighted tell me what it is, but I would rather not depend on them to
find that out.
THanks

Chad
