split buttons on the mac

2024-08-07 Thread Caitlyn Furness
Hi,

I have to work with a web page which has a split button on it. One side of the
button says print, and the other says save. How do I click on the save
portion? Right now, if I click on the button, it always picks the print option.

I think I have to use the mouse buttons for this, but don't have a clue how!

Thanks,
Cait

It works some times, but on the split button, press command-down-arrow and
that will make the choices separate.

Re: split buttons on the mac

2024-08-07 Thread Hai Nguyen Ly
Good morning,
The only way I’ve managed to reliably activate these types of controls is to do
the following.
1. Use option left/right arrows to move focus to the text associated with the
button you want to click
2. Move mouse focus to the VO cursor by pressing VO+cmd+F5
3. Click the mouse by pressing VO+Shift+Spacebar

I hope this works for you. If there is a specific page you can share with this
type of control, I’d be happy to take a closer look.

Re: split buttons on the mac

2024-08-07 Thread 'Andrew' via MacVisionaries
How about interacting with the split button, then locating the word “save”,
then bringing the mouse to the voiceover cursor with vo+command+F5, then
deactivating the trackpad and confirming you are still on “save” button by
pressing vo+f6 and then clicking the trackpad. It sometimes works.

 Hi,

I have to work with a web page which has a split button on it. One side
of the button says print, and the other says save. How do I click on the
save portion? Right now, if I click on the button, it always picks the
 print option.

I think I have to use the mouse buttons for this, but don't have a clue
 how!

 Thanks,
