RE: Be My Eyes and Aira

2023-02-02 Thread 'Jason J.G. White' via MacVisionaries
Aira's new Web-based application can be used on the Mac with VoiceOver, but
Safari isn't supported - you need to use Google Chrome instead, or possibly
Mozilla Firefox. They also have an iOS app, of course. The Web version offers
audio, video and screen sharing.

Traci,

It is available in the App Store—I have it on my phone, but not on my Mac.
Instead of searching Tunein, search for Tune In.

Where I am struggling is the QR code. Does it use the front camera or the back?
Does it matter when pointing the phone at the screen if VO is on or off? I got
it to work once a long time ago, but it did not like me yesterday.

Hey all. If you're still looking for an accessible Whatsapp client, I have
good news for you. The developers of Whatsapp have made a catalist version
of the client that is supposed to mimic what you see on your phone. I've
been testing it out for the past week and it's very accessible. And yes,
for Intel users, it works very well here too. You can read more about it
and download the client by going to this article.

Re: Disappearing External Drive and Finder issue

2023-02-02 Thread Bradford Snyder
Make sure it is a “powered” hub.
Most external drives require more power than can be provided by a passive,
non-powered hub.

I am a little afraid it’s the hub I am using. When it happens, I can’t force
quit. I can’t get to the menu bar either. It really stops almost everything
except for apps like Mail and Safari. I have to open a Mail or Safari to get to
the Apple menu.

Hello. I bought a nice big hard disc to store books, movies, and music
on. It is connected to my Mac mini via a cable. I got messages saying
that it had not been ejected properly, though, of course, it had not been
ejected at all. If I try to go to my external drives, the finder just
stops working altogether. SO right now, I am running first aid on the one
of them that I can see. But is there anything else I can do besides
either give up or call AppleCare? By the way, when the Finder stops
working, I can’t open files from anywhere and apps like TextEdit won’t
launch either, though Mail and Safari still work. Does this necessarily
mean that the external disc is corrupted? Do I need to go further than
just the Disc Utility? Thanks for any guidance.

 My poor, ailing Mac!

Searching for Street Address in Email Message?

2023-02-02 Thread Fazil M.
Hi, Group.

I have up-to-date Ventura with MacbookPro2017.

In my Inbox, I have 400 email messages. One of these emails has the street
address I am looking for.

If I press VO-f and type W Broadway here and hit enter, would Voiceover
bring the address?

If yes, how can I read my results, please?

Thanks!

Hi tracy from what i can gather whenever you open a music file it’s been the
behaviour since iTunes if you have one or, two tracks on different albums like
best of or compilations. There use to be a setting under advanced called

to, find it so someone might correct me if i’m wrong! thanks.
