MVNO carriers versus the big three AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile.

2021-12-19 Thread Phil Halton

These MVNO‘s, mobile virtual network operators, seem to have one glaring
drawback and that is deprioritization, Which as I understand it is when they
throttle you back in favor of the full price customers on the various networks
like AT&T etc. Kind of like the way Amtrak hast to pull off to the side to
allow freight traffic to go by on the rails because freight has the priority
Dash it is there tracknot Amtrak’s. .
They do have the advantage though in that a similar plan is about 1/3 the cost
of my Verizon plan. I’m thinking about moving over to one of these MVN owes. My
question, is D prioritization a dealbreaker for people or does it just happen
occasionally when in really crowded areas Like malls, sports arenas etc.
incidentally, this is the reason behind my thread concerning Sim swapping. I’ll
have to insert a new Sim card into my iPhone XR in order to activate and that’s
why I wanted to know if it’s easily done.

Question of the Week: What is your Favorite Apple product and Why?

2021-12-19 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Everyone,

My favorite Apple product, at the moment, is my Apple watch with the weather
Complication.

Why?

Because I really enjoy the weather Complication as it allows me to easily
see the temperature, hour-by-hour, via the Digital Crown, for the remainder
of the day. I find this extremely helpful when determining when to start a
fire, in my fireplace, or when to turn on the furnace.

In the rainy season, using the Digital Crown, I can easily scroll through
the remainder of the day to see the rain forecast, hour-by-hour.

I truly do appreciate all of my Apple products for the independence they
allow me to enjoy; however, at the moment, I would say that Apple watch with
the weather Complication is topping my favorites list.

What is your favorite Apple product and why?

I look forward to your replies,

Mark

2021-12-19 Thread Rebecca Skipper
My favorite Apple device is my iPhone SE2020.
It is almost like a tricorder from Star Trek.
I can use it as my communicator.
I wished it had a replicator, but I love to use it to pay bills, order food,
and so much more.
The iPod Touch is my second favorite device because it has a headphone jack and
is thin and portable.

2021-12-19 Thread Jessica Moss
It just happens on occasion for me, the biggest drawback for me for the most
part, is texts not going through when I need them to, which doesn’t happen
often, but is still a big inconvenience when it does. Another big thing to
consider, is if you’re planning on using an Apple Watch with your phone, and
you want to use it independently from your phone, none of those companies, to
my understanding, will let you do that, due to the fact that they don’t offer
any type of a plan that allows this.

Hello Herbie, most people, I go to the smaller guys because of cheaper bills
and more flexibility with plans. And I recently just switched from consumer

If you want to pay a budget price, you get a budget experience.

Re: Question of the Week: What is your Favorite Apple product and Why?

2021-12-19 Thread 'Shawn Krasniuk' via MacVisionaries
My favorite Apple device is Sophia, my MacBook Air. I'm still old school and
use her for everything including email and playing blind friendly games. She's
still going pretty strong for me. My Apple Watch SE is a close second and my
iPhone SE 2020 is third. And yes, I gave both of them unique names as well.
Haha.

Regards,
Shawn,
