playing radio stations on HomePod mini

2021-11-15 Thread christopher moore
Hello,
I’m considering the HomePod mini as a radio player. I’d also like to be able to
set an alarm to wake to a given radio station.
Are these things possible with the HomePod or would I be better off with a
different product?

TIA
Chris

I don't have a HomePod, but my understanding from demonstrations on
podcasts is that you can ask Siri to play radio stations. If I remember
correctly (and you should check), you can also use it as a wireless
speaker with an iPhone or iPad via AirPlay.

iPhone 13 Pro max update and apple watch not unlocking

2021-11-15 Thread sarai.bucciarelli
Hi all:

Well AT&T had to give me a physical SIM card to get the phone working. So
just keep that in mind when you order a phone.

Now my new issue is my apple watch 4 will no longer unlock with voiceover
enabled. I have no idea. This started after I paired with the new phone.
Ideas? Trying not to pair again.

Both devices are updated to the latest OS.

Re: iPhone 13 Pro max update and apple watch not unlocking

2021-11-15 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

With respect to the physical SIM card, that sounds like a random case. I
suspect that something just happened to the old one during the transfer.
Possibly some static charge, or just bad luck. I had no issues putting my SIM
card from my old iPhone into my 13.

Now, for the Apple Watch. Does the watch seem all connected when you use the
Watch app on your new iPhone? That is, does it show as a paired watch? Can
you see all the settings configured on the watch? When you paired it to the
new iPhone, did it ask you for Apple ID passwords, iPhone PIN etc? These all
must be answered affirmatively in order that you get a secure and proper
connection between the iPhone and the Apple Watch. Lastly, if you go to
Settings, Your name on the iPhone, does it say if there are any extra Apple ID
steps that are needed to be completed?

Later…

Most accessible invoicing app for VoiceOver?

2021-11-15 Thread Chuck Reichel

Hi List,
I’m ready to purchase an invoicing app and wanted recommendations from you guys.
Are there any apps out there that don’t require a subscription?
I was told that you can create professional looking invoices with a template
that you can customize for your business in Microsoft Office 2019, also its a
one time purchase but would rather have an invoicing app that is easier to
customize.

Either way I need to get this done asap.
Any VoiceOver friendly apps out there?
Thanks
Chuck

Re: iPhone 13 Pro max update and apple watch not unlocking

2021-11-15 Thread Brad Snyder
After pairing your watch with your new iPhone, you will need to go to the Watch
app on your new iPhone, and enable the ability to unlock your watch with your
iPhone again.
Since this setting is device specific, you need to do this every time you get a
new iPhone, or unpair and then re-pair your watch.
