Hi,

there isn’t edit button. If you edit web address, you must double tap to text
field with address and you can edit this.

Best regard.

Hi, Group.

When I type a web-address in address-bar in iPad Mini, I can not find
Edit-button there in typing like I do in iPhone. Where should I look for an
‘Edit-Button,’, please?

Thanks!

Amazon app on the I phone using voice over.

2021-10-19 Thread kglists via MacVisionaries
Hello.

I have the I Phone 12 pro running IOS 15. I tried buying something on
Amazon using voice over last week but the app isn't working fully using the
new IOS. How is anyone using Amazon these days? I had to use the PC as I
understand that it doesn't work good with the Mac either.

Thanks.

Re: I can not find Edit-button in iPad?

2021-10-19 Thread Tibor Niesner
Yes, you can delete a text. Select all characters via rotor. Find the
adjustments item and here find select all. Now you can press delete key on the
keyboard.
Or there is next option, after the tapping to text field with address should be
next to address bar clear text button.

Turning voiceover on and off quickly

2021-10-19 Thread 'Andy Logue' via MacVisionaries
Hi all.

I used to press the home button, on my iphone, three times to quickly turn
voice over off or on again, when handing my phone to a sighted user when they
were helping me.

This no longer seems to work so I've got to go the long way around by going
into settings, accessability and then voice over.

Can anyone tell me of a quick way of doing this, theses days.

Very best wishes.

Andy Logue.

You can fix this by going to Settings, Accessibility, Accessibility Shortcut,
and making sure this is set to VoiceOver.

Re: Amazon app on the I phone using voice over.

2021-10-19 Thread Herbie Allen
Amazon works just fine on the Mac. To have a better experience, in navigation
under utilities, set the mouse pointer to Move the VO cursor. As for the phone,
they have definitely broken the app. A browser might work, but I understand
those have been problematic on the phone as well. Still, I wonder if you use
the desktop version if that would help.

Re: Turning voiceover on and off quickly

2021-10-19 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

Actually, a three-finger double-tap does not toggle VoiceOver on and off. The
three-finger double-tap toggles on/off VoiceOver speech, but VoiceOver gesture
navigation remains on. This would be problematic for a sighted user as their
normal gestures would not work as expected. Therefore, you could confirm that
the Accessibility shortcut is still set correctly as Doug suggested, or you
could use Siri to turn VO on and off.

Re: Turning voiceover on and off quickly

2021-10-19 Thread Dave Carlson
No. It does not turn voiceover on/off. It just turns speech on/off. There’s a
difference that’s important. Voiceover is still active, allowing the gestures
and sounds.

Re: iOS 15 Books Navigation Problems

2021-10-19 Thread Jürgen Fleger
What a pitty.
One of the biggest issues concerning Apple Products in my opinion is the
reliability of accessibility.
I really do believe the accessibility team really works hard to keep the OS as
accessible as possible for VoiceOver. But it’s like two steps forward and one
step back. And that’s since I started using Apples products 12 years ago.
It’s not really possible to develop a stable workflow because after the next
update it could become broken by the developers. And that’s even more true for
third party developers. And that’s really an issue for people who want to use
the Mac, iPad and iPhone truely productively for their business.
I don’t know what to do about this. All I see we can do is to send feedbacks to
the accessibility team as long as it touches functions of VoiceOver. But
sometimes I’m really frustrated and desparate.
All the best
Jürgen

It isn’t iOS. Amazon updated the app, and it destroyed VoiceOver accessibility.
Hopefully Amazon will issue an update soon that will restore VoiceOver

Re: Folder and file conflicts.

2021-10-19 Thread Jonathan Cohn
Hello,
I believe your merging example will work with Finder prompting every time there
is a conflict.
In terms of the rename that sounds like something you are doing fairly
regularly, if so then a shortcut probably makes sense. It could be fairly easy
create a folder automation that would take folders added to it, rename them
with a date and then re-encode them into mp3.
Let me know if you are interested in doing this. Of course, you could also set
up some bash aliases that could do something like this in terminal.

for f in q.*
get the extension of f and run mv q.ext new name.ext
end for

Would be your basic structure, I can't remember all the syntax without looking
it up but it really would be just 4 lines of code unless you wanted to traverse
a directory and do the command.

Subject: Amazon app on the I phone using voice over.

Hello.

I have the I Phone 12 pro running IOS 15. I tried buying something on Amazon
using voice over last week but the app isn???t working fully using the new IOS.
How is anyone using Amazon these days? I had to use the PC as I understand
that it doesn???t work good with the Mac either.

Thanks.

Kawal.

Re: Amazon app on the I phone using voice over.

2021-10-19 Thread Jessica Moss
I noticed that as well, and that it’s unfortunately been this way for a while.
The cursor loses focus like nobody’s business, especially after you’ve found
what you want and try to click on it to order it, then the cursor just jumps
all over the place.
