Re: accessible weather apps
I haven't bothered with an app. It was faster for me to put http://braille.wunderground.com into the Safari browser, then hit Utilities and "add to home screen" button. After that, I then entered my zip code in and let that page load and added *that*, as well. Transferring files from BrailleNote Apex to Mac
Hello. I have a lot of work-related files on my BrailleNote Apex and want to transfer them to my office computer, which is a Mac Book Pro. I know that in Windows, you have to use some special program, but I am wondering if there isn't an easier way on the Mac. I'd like to transfer three different folders in their entirety from the Apex to the Mac Book Pro. Thanks and have a relaxing Sunday, everyone! Wow, so you have just totally displayed both your inability to read / comprehend but a complete and utter lack of clue or even basic understanding of the fundamentals. That's pretty hard to do usually. If you had bother to read at all you would under stand that I use a hardware based system that uses deep packet inspection to match traffic in real time against a database of signatures with a specific set of threat responses that are automated. So while you're trusting your host to some piece of crap software that does not generally react in time because once you reach the host it's to late anyway I don't sweat it because the bugs and other threats are stopped at the WAN interface. Re: video conversion
Hi Matthew, Another freeware tool that Darcy Burnard has recommended for such functions is MPEG Streamclip: Here's the page for MPEG StreamClip to check for more information: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MPEG_StreamClip (The page links to the developer's site, which mentions that you can do batch conversions, and that it will do video for Apple TV). As for audio extractions, both Darcy and Yvonne Thompsen have commented in the past that this works for that -- it won't extract directly to mp3, but you can use the export audio option for either aiff or m4a, and you can then convert to mp3 if that's the format you require. Note that I don't use this myself -- this is just passed on from reading the countless posts to the list. Cheers, Esther On Feb 20, 2011, at 17:18, Matthew Campbell wrote: > Oh, okay. Re: Transferring files from BrailleNote Apex to Mac
What I would do is the following: 1. On a thumb drive or sd card, create the three folders you will want. They will be empty for now. 2. On the bn, insert the storage device, then go to file manager, then translate, then export. 3. Select the first folder of files. Once at the "document to translate" prompt, simply hit space twice, then enter with dots 2 3 5 6 to mark all files. Hit enter. 4. Select the corresponding folder on the storage device as the destination and proceed as normal from there. Repeat for the other two folders. Re: MobileMe web interface not accesible. Is it just me?
Hi Matthew and Kawal, This is a late response, because the original post came in when I was really busy. However, I'll just mention that this portion of the MobileMe web interface works fine -- just use VO-Space (the generic shortcut to perform the default action) on any of the items to select them. Another recommendation: when you log into MobileMe, add the section of the site that you want to go to after the main address. For example, type: http://www.me.com/account in the URL if you want to access your account or password settings, type: http://www.me.com/find to log in for "Find my iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch", and similarly for mail, calendar, etc. The generic login runs a javascript to let you choose which part of MobileMe you want to go to, and I find that it's just much faster and less of a load on Safari if you tell it right away where you want to go by putting it at the end of the address string. Then, when you enter your password, you're automatically at the correct location. They've actually recently been making some improvements to the interface. HTH. Re: MobileMe web interface not accesible. Is it just me?
Marlaina, It's $99 per year, unless you purchase a device such as the iPhone and purchase Mobile ME at the same time, then it's $69. There is also a two month demo available, so you can try it first. Go to me.com for more details. Les On Feb 20, 2011, at 11:28 PM, Marlaina Lieberg wrote: > What is the cost for moble me?
