Re: Blue tooth headset
You know I have not tried this in a good while, but one thing that may or may not have a role in this and might explain why it works with iTunes and not VoiceOver is this. Music is a constant stream of audio where VoiceOver is not. Now with this said and based only on my experience, I think what happen in my case is the audio channel on the Mac closes when there is no sound, so if VO is not speaking or there is no music, the channel is closed and the headset would go to sleep. Now whether this is your issue I don't know, but something to consider. As far as why something is spoken twice is odd and I don't recall encountering that situation. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Dynamic html and Safari in group mode
Hey good people out there in cyberland. I was trying to work with a web site which caused me problems, because it has links that, when pointing to them with your mouse, rolls down other links in a menu that you should click on to get where you want to go. It appears that in Safari 4 Beta, you can not see this menu of links when in group mode, at least not in a way that i know about. How do you knowledgable people out there tackle this? Thankful for any suggestions. /Krister --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group. Re: Two questions of little significance
Well I am a fairly new Mac user but I have done a little experimenting with this ticking sound thing and this is what happens on my Macbook. When I download a file I have to interact with the download list to get the progress. If I interact a second time I am interacting with the group and that is when I hear the ticking sound. In other words, I hit the interact keys twice while focused on the download list to hear the ticking. Hope this helps at least a little. Does anyone know how to activate the download ticking sound? My second question relates to VO actually reading the download progress indicator. I always simply VO right back and forth to hear the data. Well, the other day I pressed some key and the percentage was spoken while remaining in the same place. I thought, cool, I'll have to remember this. Now I can't reproduce it. Does anyone know a key combo to press to read a progress indicator without moving back and forth? Thanks for the incredible information the list members have provided to me thus far, both in questions I've asked and reading others posts. Well one of the sites that can present such problems are at www.badtval.se . Re: Dynamic html and Safari in group mode
first off, dom mode will generally give you more information, that's the setting I would advise you to use. Second, if you can get the mouse on the right spot, you could then turn off cursor tracking and see if you could read the menus. Re: Dynamic html and Safari in group mode
Groups mode is a mode which has fallen into disfavor lately because of what has been mentioned. This bug of ignoring dynamically changing HTML has been a problem since the days of tiger. It's not just a matter that DOM mode gives you more information end-of-story. The reason for that is a bug probably in apple's webkit which needs to be fixed.
