Macports processes never go away
I've noticed that some processes for user Macports never go away. Specifically, a distnoted and cfprefsd. And while they are around, there's a launchd that sits until reboot as well. Is there anything that can be done about this, or is this just a side-effect of Mac OS that a user never completely logs out? (10.9.5) --- Entertaining minecraft videos http://YouTube.com/keybounce

Probably nothing safe; they're definitely OS X things. Just ignore them. -- brandon s allbery kf8nh sine nomine associates allber...@gmail.com ballb...@sinenomine.net unix, openafs, kerberos, infrastructure, xmonadhttp://sinenomine.net

Processes can be run as a particular user without that user being logged in. vq
