Macports processes never go away

2016-11-18 Thread Michael
I've noticed that some processes for user Macports never go away.

Specifically, a distnoted and cfprefsd. And while they are around, there's a
launchd that sits until reboot as well.

Is there anything that can be done about this, or is this just a side-effect of
Mac OS that a user never completely logs out?

Probably nothing safe; they're definitely OS X things. Just ignore them.

Processes can be run as a particular user without that user being logged
in.
