Sorry for a second message; this occurred to me belatedly. If you go to
Tools > Preferences... > File Handling > File Formats and select your
PDF format of choice in the "Format:" select box ("PDF (pdflatex)" for
me), is the "Viewer:" field set correctly?

And the viewer setting still lists okular as the viewer? I just
discovered that, for whatever reason, the viewer for pdflatex was set to
xreader (correct) and the viewer for all other PDF formats was set to
evince (which I don't use).

Show compiled document under /tmp

I'm having the following problem, but it may also be related to KDE.

viewer would open with the document. Now the PDF viewer won't open. It's

I don't have problems with the pdf file located in /tmp. It is just the
button with the two eyes (Ctrl + R). It used to open the pdf file in
/tmp in okular (in my case). This does currently not work.  I assume
this is related to changes to KDE (debian testing). Maybe it'll be fixed
within the next days.

If you run your PDF viewer of choice in a terminal and attempt to open

It was empty. Now I have chosen

okular --unique "$$o#src:$$n $$f"

from a drop down menu. It still doesn't work. I also don't understand
"$$o#src:$$n $$f"
