bind file is missing after new install
Hello, Since I installed the last release of lyx (2.2.3), all the shortcuts disappeared (even ctrl + c, ...). When I try to access the shortcut management, lyx tells me that the bind file is missing. However, there is a "Lyx2.2\resource\bind" directory that contains several .bind files (eg cua.bind). Where should the .bind files be placed so that they can be seen by lyx? I work under win 10. Thanks. Gerard --- L'absence de virus dans ce courrier électronique a été vérifiée par le logiciel antivirus Avast. https://www.avast.com/antivirus

Hi Gérard, I believe the bind folder should be in your LyX "library directory". To see this location, go to Help > About. Scott signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Hello, Just to share a good news (at least for me) with you; maybe that could be useful to others too. I have been searching for some time now for a nice tablet on which I can run Lyx (it became my main writing tool). I like my iPAD Air 2, but its inability to run LyX was its main shortcoming for me. Now, I think I have found what I need: Lenovo Yoga Book with Windows 10 (beware, there is also an Android version). This is a very interesting tablet that comes with enough power (a 4-cores Atom processor) to Run LyX and MikTeX (also LibreOffice and other tools, including JabRef). It is very light, has a full day autonomy in my intensive use, a nice screen and a Wacom tablet based keyboard and touchpad. Since it is Wacom tablet based, it also comes with a stylus. I know that other users on this list have been asking about the tablet version. Since the iPAD version does not seem to come, I decided to go on the evil empire just for the love of LyX. :-) Best regards, Murat -- Prof. Murat Yildizoglu Note: Please use the following address as such UNIVERSITE DE BORDEAUX GREThA (UMR CNRS 5113) MURAT YILDIZOGLU 16 AVENUE LEON DUGUIT CS 50057 33608 PESSAC CEDEX FRANCE Bureau : E-331 mail: murat.yildizoglu at u-bordeaux.fr web: www.yildizoglu.fr
Local modules under Windows 10
Hi again, As a follow up to my preceding mail on LyX on Yoga Book, I have some difficulties to make LyX to find modules I normally install locally (mainly Beamerincrementedlists module). I have put this module under ~/AppData/Roaming/Lyx22/layouts, and reconfigured LyX , but it continues to complain about not being able to find it when I open a Beamer file using it. I have also tried the folder ~\AppData\Local\LyX 2.2\Resources\layouts and no success (after again Reconfigure + restart LyX). Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong ? My last experience with Windows was with XP, but see that MS has kept more or less the same folder structure, so I have the impression that I do what is necessary and I am puzzled byt the unsuccessful outcome. Thank you in advance for your help ! Murat

There should be a layouts folder under that directory, and you can store local modules there. Paul
