Happy New Year! I have a project for either on a FOSS basis or non-commercial project pricing basis - There are 26 etc alphabets, a to z, in English/European languages and on LyX software package. Project: 1 of these alphabets needs changing from english/european to sanskrit. When user presses this alphabet key on their local machine the chosen alphabet shows as a sanskrit alphabet instead of the english/european alphabet. 1:1 alteration in the alphabet -> from english/european alphabet to a sanskrit alphabet. Instead of user having to write the content on their local machine and then having to change one of the alphabet through find and replace function, they now can process immediately. The keyboard for english/europran users is usually a english/european qwerty or for this context call it english/european qwerty-k however I need a keyboard inputer extension/plugin with your core wordprocessor software that changes the qwerty-k to english/european qwerty- क (where only 1 english/european alphabet K has been removed from your menu/help/faqs/dictionary etc and what has been put is the sanskrit devanagri alphabet that has html decimal code or 0915 unicode glyph - http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/0915/index.htm, the new sound shape) Secondly, I need you to package a new font that will be used for wordprocessing and thus the user will use क / 0915 alphabet. All this with one click install that can be from disk or a one session download and thus any average novice user can immediately use your software. Please tell me this is possible. Excuse and pardon my ignorance about this. What I am suggesting is a plugin/extension/applet/extension/fork that is shipped with the the software for a one-click installation. This has these parts: 1. The font qwerty- क (unicode gluph 0915, that I donate for this project to LyX) that removes the K alphabet and puts a different sound shape, the devanagri sanskrit alphabet 2. The keyboard layout- this allows the user to press the 11th alphabet and have the devanagri sound shape shown 3. I need it for religious, spiritual and philosophical reasons thus it is going to be for personal and the wider personal, non-commercial and commercial usages hopefully. Uwe Pavel also explained this in some detail "- change keyboard inputs for 'k' key. this is either possible by by changing kmap file inside lyx or more generally to change the binding for the whole OS you use (in case of linux use xmodmap). - change menus/dialogs etc - for this generate english .po file and just change all occurences of translated string 'k' with you char. some tweaks around the language codes maybe needed. - make latex output work with devangari or some ugly hack which will change latex through some convertor script etc. (this will be be the most difficult part) - find some font the sanskrit char you want for screen (this is OS thing and has nothing to do with lyx)" I also want to refer to the email I sent saying http://sanglish.googlepages.com was the first site, here I meant that it was the first site for www.Prabhupada.name. I am not a programmer, perhaps I can try a few things from the above tasks and I can also think about paying like I said before. Anyone for doing LaTex correction please come forward.
