I have started to test, but we need more testers. Please help :-)

Can anybody advice, what might have changed in from the previous version?

Brendan, a lot of work done. I duplicated only a few tests.
The most important bug for me is that the theme cannot be switched
unless deleting obconf (#1468529)

Hi,

It seems we can release Lubuntu beta 2 desktop and alternate, 32-bit and
64-bit :-)

But several grey bugs have survived since the alpha stage (minor or
major (still grey), directly in the Lubuntu packages, and bugs in other
packages, but still affecting Lubuntu).

I'm looking forward to some action in order to squash these bugs before
the final release of 15.10.

Best regards
Nio

[Lubuntu-qa] lubuntu-extra-sessions (Bug 1213837)

2015-09-24 Thread Phill. Whiteside
Hi Boss,

Nio points out that whilst there is a menu structure for these sessions in
the LiveCD it is unpopulated. Can you add them in just for the LiveCD?

Thanks,

Phill.

2015-09-24 Thread Phill. Whiteside
All tests completed... Many thanks to those who did the ones after we'd
finished them all (Well, thought we had). The release notes for the Beta 2
are more comprehensive[1] and this time I've included what I believe to be
issues that are core (affect all flavours).

Regards,

Phill.

[Lubuntu-qa] Fwd: Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) Final Beta released

2015-09-24 Thread Walter Lapchynski
Wily 15.10 Beta 2 is now released. We're one step away from the official
release of the Werewolf[1] now! Thanks to everyone who helped push this
release out, especially after the late respin!

Final release is the 22nd of October, so expect the final release to be
available for testing the Tuesday of that week. Your help would be most
appreciated then.

Meanwhile, feel free to test dailies and work on bug management. There's
plenty of issues that are covered in the release notes, so if you can help
with those (even confirming, finding work arounds, triaging, etc.), that
would be most appreciated.

Thanks everyone!

Subject: Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) Final Beta released
To: ubuntu-annou...@lists.ubuntu.com
Cc: ubuntu-rele...@lists.ubuntu.com

The Ubuntu team is pleased to announce the final beta release of Ubuntu
15.10 Desktop, Server, Cloud, and Core products.

Codenamed "Wily Werewolf", 15.10 continues Ubuntu's proud tradition
of integrating the latest and greatest open source technologies into a
high-quality, easy-to-use Linux distribution. The team has been hard at
work through this cycle, introducing new features and fixing bugs.

This beta release includes images from not only the Ubuntu Desktop,
Server, Cloud, and Core products, but also the Kubuntu, Lubuntu,
Ubuntu GNOME, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu Studio, and Xubuntu
flavours.

The beta images are known to be reasonably free of showstopper CD build
or installer bugs, while representing a very recent snapshot of 15.10
that should be representative of the features intended to ship with the
final release expected on October 22nd, 2015.

There is, however, one bug in this beta serious enough that it's worth
calling it out in the release announcement. This bug affects all
flavours, and will be fixed before release:

  1) Depending on your location, Ubiquity may trigger a ubi-timezone
error during install. If you encounter this, the recommended
work-around is to install without an active network connection.

Ubuntu, Ubuntu Server, Ubuntu Core, Cloud Images:
Utopic Final Beta includes updated versions of most of our core set of
