Re: [Lubuntu-qa] Lubuntu 12.04 is released

2012-04-27 Thread Lance
That was an intentional change, please read:

https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel/2012-March/034970.html

And the bug report requesting the change:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/wubi/+bug/975251

And the first answer here:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/125015/can-i-install-12-04-by-using-wubi

So Wubi is still available, you simply must just download the wubi.exe (aka:
Windows installer) separately:

http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop

I personally think the change was foolish, but who listens to me ;^)

HI,

I'll forward this to the ubuntu-qa team, hopefully the Wubi tester can give
some insight into the problem.

Regards,

Phill.

I'm just pointing that the wubi included in the +buntu versions doesn't have
the option to install under windows

Re: [Lubuntu-qa] Lubuntu 12.04 is released

2012-04-27 Thread Ali Linx (amjjawad)
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PrecisePangolin/ReleaseNotes/Lubuntu#PrecisePangolin.2BAC8-ReleaseNotes.2BAC8-CommonInfrastructure-1.Boot.2C_Installation_and_Post-Installation

It is mentioned here already but maybe we should be more clear about it?

I have posted on Facebook (group and page) and will do that on Google+ too.

Thanks a lot, Lance :)
