Are there US teams who are 501(c)(3) organizations?
Hi all, a friend of mine who is living in the US would like to make a donation to a Software Project or any other organization that promotes Free Software that is tax deductible. Besides pointing him to the FSF and the Free Software Conservancy, I wonder if some of the Ubuntu Teams in the USA might be 501(c)(3) organizations. As he is an Ubuntu user and fan, this might be of some interest to him. Thanks for your help! But yet there are the occassional spam messages that creep through a few times each week IME. > I think the main reason for this is the visibility of the email > address of the list to the public, on the site lists site. Re: Mailing lists
Well I partially got a solution from your answer. 10x My actual question was if there is a spambot on the mailing list server, to filter them (since even in this list some spams got into my inbox few weeks ago). Thanks a lot, Boyan. 2008/10/7 Vid. Re: Are there US teams who are 501(c)(3) organizations?
It's difficult to say, none of the LoCos I know in the USA are even Incorporated, let alone None-Profit or Charities. there has been much rumblings about the problem. Best bet is to either, donate to the FSF or enter the bounty system (although not as much tax break, but the money goes where you want it) You might be able to donate to the Ubuntu Foundation, not sure what the legals are though. Intrepid Ibex and 4th Anniversary ideas for a t-shirt
I have decided to go printing some t-shirts. I wish I had better abilities using Inkscape and/or Gimp but I guess this will work for t-shirt purposes, since "transfer" only works with plain colors, no effects. I have uploaded both SVGs and PNGs for anyone interested in using these. Please, if you modify them, upload and share your contribution to all of us as well. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MauricioHernandez/SomeIdeas/IntrepidAnniversaryTshirts -- Cheers and let the Intrepid come, Mauricio Hernandez Z. -- loco-contacts mailing list loco-contacts@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/loco-contacts
