Are you going to Debconf9?
Hi, I am adrian15 from Super Grub Disk. I have been quite for a while because FAI no longer interested me. I was asking myself if some of you are going to Debconf. I won't mind meeting some of you and try to fix FAI (In fact I mean initramfs-tools, live-initramfs and busybox) for Ubuntu 9.04 if I have someone for testing my built packages on the fly. I mean, I am not going to do it for myself on my own. http://debconf9.debconf.org/index.xhtml.en Debian Conference is the annual Debian developers meeting, an event filled with coding parties, discussions and workshops - all of them highly technical in nature. It will be held in Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain, from July 23 to 30, 2009. By the way I was formerly subscribed with another address that finished in alumnes.udl.cat. ... You know... Desdeslin project. Thank you. adrian15 -- Support free software. Donate to Super Grub Disk. Apoya el software libre. Dona a Super Grub Disk. http://www.supergrubdisk.org/index.php?pid=10
Re: Setup FAI to other distribution
Hmm, I see that the wiki page has not been clear enough on how important it is to leave the FAI_DEBOOTSTRAP line as is. I just made a few changes in which I explained things further about this and the multidistribution topic. Hope this is clear enough now. In newer version of FAI, it is tested if debootstrap had succeded. If not (it tests if apt-get is available in the chroot), make-fai-nfsroot will not go on. This was bug #524369 which was closed in FAI 3.2.18. -- regards Thomas
