[LincolnTalk] Seeking Housecleaner

2021-11-14 Thread kristen margeson
Hi Neighbors,

We are seeking a housecleaner. I've seen posts in the not-too-distant past
regarding housecleaner availability, and would appreciate hearing from
anyone whose cleaner has current availability for new clients.

Thank you!

[LincolnTalk] FS New in Box Fisher and Paykel Panel-Ready Dishwasher For Sale

2023-02-20 Thread kristen margeson
For sale, a brand new Fisher and Paykel DW24U2I1 Panel Ready Dishwasher.
The box was opened to inspect the item upon delivery, but was promptly
closed. We are selling it because it came with a set of other appliances,
but our specs required a different model. This is a panelized/integrated
dishwasher, so it will require a custom front to function (although a
standard stainless steel front can be purchased for it). Located at ground
level in a heated garage, must have capable transportation and ability to
move the unit.

Details
https://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/DW24U2I1.html

MSRP $999, asking $600

Thank you Anne, I think it might be just that! There is a spot a few feet away

Re: [LincolnTalk] Transfer Station Zoo Today

2025-01-05 Thread kristen margeson
I fully support Margo's idea, clearly supported by others here, of having a
"make-up day" on weeks where a holiday keeps the Transfer Station closed
for one of its days. I think that is an extremely reasonable ask to ensure
that the town's public services, service the public.

I also support adding a third open day. It is extremely challenging for a
family with two full-time working adults and young children who will not
drive for another decade, to make it to the TS during the current open
hours. Three days were possible during the pandemic (I recall Mondays were
added) and I strongly encourage the town to explore making that a permanent
schedule. As another poster mentioned, we similarly end up storing our
trash and recycling for an untenable length of time until we can get to the
TS, and not just because of holiday closures. Life is busy; commutes to
work take a long time; and weekends are the time we get to spend with our
children. It would be nice to have one more option to take care of our TS
responsibility.

Hi LincolnTalk,

We have moved on from our 3yo's crib and mattress, and selling as a set for
$200; our preference is to sell as a package but open to splitting up if
needed. We are a smoke-free home. Easy pick-up in Lincoln.

*Babyletto Gelato crib with toddler bed conversion kit.* The crib is white
with natural wood feet (see here, the "White/Washed Natural" colorway. The
crib has 3 mattress height levels and includes the toddler bed conversion
kit; it also has the ability to convert to a full-sized bed with the
purchase of a separate rail kit. Crib sells for $500 new.

[LincolnTalk] Bees nest for removal

2025-06-22 Thread Kristen Margeson
Hi LT,

We just discovered a bees nest (the hard way) and seek safe bee-friendly
removal. We don’t know the exact species. Seeking recommendations for someone
to help with safe removal, any names greatly appreciated!

Best,
Kristen

Re: [LincolnTalk] From the Moderators: Political Hiatus

2025-06-23 Thread kristen margeson
Sharing my thanks to Margit & the Moderators who volunteer their time,
integrity, and patience to maintain LincolnTalk as a resource for all
those who choose to utilize it. Our family appreciates, and has benefitted
in countless ways from all that you do!

Best,
Kristen

Re: [LincolnTalk] STM Childcare, parking, and more

2025-06-11 Thread kristen margeson
Agreed this is a great service and step forward. Parents of children under
age 4, whose families will heavily interact with the consequences of the
CCBC outcome (either way) are in a tougher spot. Very hard to participate
when the voting process doesn't accommodate those who can't be there in
person due to caregiving (and I'm sure many other very valid) reasons.
